How to fix pvp

Cap gear at 445 in a pvp environments. Allow people to buy 445 trinkets from any venue in current content.

Create a vendor with items of every secondary stat combination possible for each class. Only allow secondary stats and dps trinkets to effect pvp. Make sockets farm-able and usable as well.

Bring back reforging but make it free. I would like to stop being punished for experimenting. Your vanilla or you not pick one.

Give currency that can be use to purchase rewards on losses but reward more on a win to encourage winning and making friends. There is nothing fun about wasting 15 minutes in an unwinnable game. Its even worse while under-geared.

Make casual battlegrounds less team based and for the love of god put more resources requirements on cc. It makes anything but 1800+ arena unfun. Nothing is fun about getting chain stunned and horrified constantly from 35 yards away.

Also be more strategy with cc range as well every cc in the game doesn’t need a 35-40 yard range. It can be used to encourage positioning. At the high-end people don’t just spam cc but at the low end. It’s reward way to much.

also 1900 rogue/mage baddie question… Why is fear a micro stun? Why do you have so much trust in your player base… It feels really unearned. Most devs balance there game around the bad apples not the good seeds. You do the opposite.

Capping ilvl might be a decent fix but people will get upset that “OH NO, THE GEAR I’VE GRINDED FOR I CAN’T LITERALLY USE.”

Currency again like conquest and honor and badges of honor? Like 'em.

Leave BGs alone.

CC is CC… Don’t think that can get fixed.

Not sure about the rogue/mage bit.

You can add sockets to gear and bring back pvp tiers sets. Or make azerite work like tier sets. I’m trying to save customization in pvp because its what I find fun.

I like this idea but only if PvE and PvP gear sets are completely different.

We don’t need a Cata Rogue Vial of Shadows with ToT energy cost reduction nonsense again.

  1. Disable corruptions/azerite traits/essences in PvP
  2. Bring back set bonuses for PvP and PvE
  3. Revert classes back to MoP
  4. Cross faction scenarios - PvP and PvE
  5. Bring back BG blacklist feature
  6. Have a team dedicated to balancing PvP
  7. Clear outline how scaling works, and the breakpoints it effects
  8. Remove the GCD changes

1.I disagree azerite can be rework into a better version of tier sets. Basically you grind and unlock a bonus than are able to swap it out.

Remove the GCD changes

Anything that makes combat less responsive and the gameplay feel clunky is bad. Having it on burst cds is one thing, but they also added utility/mobility/defensives to the GCD = trash.

-Bringing back the 3 for a win 1 for a loss currency in bgs would be a good thing, you can’t really fix faction balance but it would make it so even on a nightmare day you walked away with something.
-Reforging and 500 items to choose from on a vendor, when fish fly.
-cc is a thing, learn it, make it your friend. Its a wonderful thing once you embrace it!
-the whole gear issue is…well as Rabald said, it will make raiders cry if it changes so we couldn’t possibly ask for that.
-in real life desertion is dealt with by shooting them as they run away, its rare because the consequences aren’t worth it. desertion should have stiffer penalties so people actually care about the results instead of idly standing by to see if they are going to be given a win or not. I’d think one hour account wide ban from pvp activities is more then fair. (not applicable if voted out as that is far too often used to harass players that disagree with a premade party within the group or simply don’t have great gear)

I’m sorry there is nothing fun about an over abundance of 35 yard range cc and a lack of requirements to use them. Like good players don’t spam but bad players do and in random battlegrounds its rewarded to much.

I think punishing desertion won’t help. People leave because a battleground is unwinnable and don’t want to waste time. Can we get a death counter in warsong that auto ends the battleground to hurt camping? Like if Your a flag down and the differences in kills is more than 70 or something. Auto end the game like in destiny.

I like playing games where I have an impact. If I don’t what’s the point? It’s not about gear at a certain point but quality and fun.

Your first comment is confusing, you claim only bad players use all the cc they can and this makes you lose but you beat good players because they use less of it…sorry but that makes zero sense!

The punishment would work, half the problem is they don’t care, afk out if they think they wont win and leave someone else to deal with the problem they were part of while hopping on another alt looking for a winning team, I’m not fond of your generations desire to have zero consequences.

You had an impact, its why you now want to afk out, sadly it was a negative impact.

It’s because bad player spam it in battlegrounds. Good player save it for important situations. In battlegrounds when I get chained stunned or silenced 5 times. I can’t do anything.

There no punishment in the average random battlegrounds for cc spam. When I’m cc’d my team mate have to make up for the slack but because of random matchmaking this doesn’t work. I can get 1 healer or I can get a bunch of undergeared dps that do no damage or don’t focus healers or kill targets.

In arena at 2k+ demon hunters will save there stuns for my combustions and swap targets or los. There isn’t cc spam problem at high elo but carefully coordinated cc chains.

In older expansion cc had range limits and resource cost. I think that needs to comeback from the low end because it won’t effect the high end. People are holding on to abilities at the high-end.

How do I outplayed a 35 range, stun, and silence? I don’t. Now if the ranges were more like 20 or 35 based on risk reward. It would create windows for me to outplay people.

A DH can mongo train one target, trinket a cheap, blur into nothing, forget to use darkness and still win at 2K CR

do not let pve gear dominate in pvp combat and do not let pvp gear equal high end pve gear in dungeons, Blizzard clearly needs to separate the 2, I find this the number 1 issue that needs to be addressed, silly thing is they had it almost right for WoD but abandoned it at the end of the expansion.

for all that is holy get rid of spell locks. dumbest thing ever if im not stunned im spell locked, i main a warlock who has mostly chaos spells and i pretty much twiddle my thumbs waiting for it to be over.

i would also say that spell casters should be able to hit a person no matter where they are, its so dumb when melee just run through you near the end of your cast and your screwed.

and i agree with pvp gear being dominant in pvp you shouldnt be able to get some shiny gear in pve and wreck face in pvp your first time in.
