Have there been any developments for players trying to figure out how old their account is? I hoped that info would be in the account history but for some reason it isn’t there.
Unfortunately not through your account admin section of the website. You can search back in your transaction history, but that only goes so far back too. My oldest transaction there was purchasing the physical authenticators which I definitely did after I started playing

You can actually request your personal information, which includes your account creation date, through our support site!

Just off the cuff, it’s showing you’ve collected some things back from in 2007 world events in your Feats of Strength achievements.
But I did not know that was a thing, so thank you Jafaaeleath!

Achievement dates don’t go back any further than the date Achievements were added to the game. Vanilla/TBC/some Wrath accounts would be older than any of the Achievements on their account.

I think some feats of strength may be character based but haven’t confirmed that.
My account is almost 16 years old.
Thanks a lot for this suggestion. That data export shows my account creation date as 10/15/2009. I started playing in the middle of vanilla, so I know that date is inaccurate. This is the only WoW account I have ever had. Oh well, thanks anyway!

My account was continuously active from its creation (I believe some time around fall 2005) until around 2017 and then I re-subbed again recently.
yah mine has the same history, roughly, though it does list me starting on launch day 2004, but i took a break at the end of BC into Wrath which caused me to miss out on the statue and the vampire bat pet:O(
