Incredibly false, I had a 6 month sub refunded for selecting the wrong one.
I mean u have to expect that there are going to be bug issues and a lot of things are going to glitch on u come launch day. Hell I waited 1hr and 30mins for the boat to the Dragon Isles to un-glitch itself cause I wanted to wait till my twin sister was ready so we could get to the isles together, but did I bxxxh and wine abt it? NO! Cause with all mmo’s u have to learn patience.
Can I has your stuff???
To be entirely fair, Blizzard has earned its fickle playerbase over the past several years with massive content droughts, skinner box systems that are overly complex and heavily anti-consumer, far worse writing than usual, greedy cash grabs, poor quality control, and let’s not forget all the lawsuits that happened.
Basically Blizzards PR has nose dived and people are no longer under the illusion that Blizzard can do no wrong.
Well, most people aren’t, anyway
Boohoo launch day was rough, you’ll get over it like everyone else has on every expac launch. And the f you expected better customer service from this version of blizz that’s on you.
Then why would you commit for a full year?
Are you 18 years old, or are you saying you’ve been playing for 18 years? Your word choice is bound to cause confusion. If you’re 18 years old, leave it as it is - but if you’ve been playing for 18 years, I’d reword your title to “How to chase away an 18 year long customer.”
how does this have anything to do with your age?
also there is a clear track record of what happens on patch day.
I don’t know why everybody chooses to ignore it.
Still kind of feeling like this is your own fault.
So you pre-ordered and bought a 12 month sub then decided to quit becuase the servers were down 1 night?
I think I misunderstood your title, I thought it meant a customer for 18 years; But must actually mean a 18 year old customer.
It was a rough launch, I get the frustration, but now that I’m in it, I truly enjoy the expansion and think it’s a step in the right direction. Either way, you have a year, I say you let the dust settle and the rage subside and try again. Maybe you like it, maybe not, but you’re already in for a penny.
And point of all this is…?
Your whole thing would have lot more weight if you didn’t sub for a year in advance…
No you didn’t unsub, because if you did you wouldn’t have been able to enter that rant. So the game was buggy for a few days, so what? How is that impacting anyone now?
I had no idea this was an airport
Yes. Your account will still be active until the end of the pay period. It just won’t renew when time runs out. And the account is never deleted. So anyone can come back at any given time. So, unsubbing isn’t as serious as people make it seem.
Not true. I unsubbed. I still have active game time though. My account is paid for until Feb 2024. Unsubbing doesn’t delete the account. Just puts an expiration date on your play time. It’s no different than using a game card.
Considering WoW’s 18th anniversary was November 23, and it is now 2022, 2022-18=?? 2003?? Looks like either someone needs to relearn basic math, and shouldn’t be spending time in a game, or is just trolling the forums. Because any true 18year veteran would know that the game was released November 23, 2004. I know, maybe you’re special and was playing the game a year before it’s release.
Let me try to wrap my head around this…
You acknowledge that BFA and Shadowlands failed. But then you proceed to PRE-ORDER Dragonflight AND purchase the 12 month subscription? Like… really??
And now you are shocked at all the things that have happened? And that you can’t get a refund? What did you honestly expect to happen? Did you think the game and company would just change overnight with the flip of a switch for a new expansion?
And to top it off, you made an “I am unsubbing post” after the fact that you already paid for a year of your subscription. News flash. Blizzard doesn’t care. They have your money for a year and they already received your money for the box price of the game. You have literally paid for half of the timeline of the expansion before it even came out. You aren’t getting anything back.
You absolutely deserve what you have received from Blizzard. And the best part is, you’re 100% going to do it again for the next expansion because you simply can’t help yourself.
Text book copium.
The irony is sickening when we have more or less the same amount of actives as we did in Vanilla or early TBC. It’s incontrovertible that without trying to support a game that would have SOME TEN MILLION it should be MUCH EASIER to support one that only has a QUARTER of that amount. The root of the problem is that Blizzard has lost their quality edge, which is how companies like Caterpillar are supposed to sell their [pricey] machines in the competition with John Deere, Case, Komatsu, and others.
If Blizzard was in charge in running Caterpillar, they’d make themselves disappear and to be replaced by those shareholders believe would do the job better.
That being said, I regret you got burned at launch. I don’t even have DF installed yet. I’m burned about the sexy of WPvP being completely gone now.
World PvP isn’t gone. In fact, Dragonflight encourages it. There are war caches that drop periodically, world PvP quest, buffs, and even World PvP currency.
