Right now frost is being tuned around the fact that they have a cringe oneshot setup, with blinding sleet ->FWF-> chill streak. If you tune up their damage outside of those windows they will still remain in a bad spot due to their lacking defensive toolkit (which is their main problem not their damage).
Its also hard to say if they actually need major buffs to damage or not since the tuning next patch is going to be drastically different compared to current season, especially since deathstrike naturally gains more value as hp pools go up and the game slows down (having less crit damage, more vers etc).
Thought dks were getting bloodforged armor? Did they remove it already?
Great points probably need to buff burst, sustain, and defensives since we aren’t sure then figure it out from there.
- Icecap reworked. Icecap replaces Cleaving Strikes. Enemies affected by Remorseless Winter will cause Frost Strike and Obliterate damage to radiant 6 yards, hitting all secondary targets for 50% of the damage caused.
- Remove Dead of Winter PvP talent, replace with 30 seconds off Sindrigosa (1 minute cooldown with Absolute Zero)
- Half chill streak damage but make it’s radius 15 yards instead of 6
- Baseline froststrike damage increased by 50% in PvP
- Shattering blade bonus damage reduced to 25% instead of 100%, but no longer consumes stacks
- Baseline obliterate buffed 25%, crit damage reduced 10%
- New Talent: Icy Blades: The effect of permafrost is doubled, targets with 5 stacks of Razorice increase Death Strike’s healing by 100%.
Overall sustain buffs outside of cooldowns, with less reliance on double-triple blind setup ups to burst. AOE cleave during burst lowered a bit to compensate for less globals required to start damage.
