Well in Legion Deathnights had a quest choice to either let the red dragon flight live or kill them all. I chose the latter. It was actually a fun quest, that could be what the aspects were talking about.
He should come back complaining how he is not adequate enough to lead like always. Then someone runs him through with a sword and we never have to hear or see him ever again.
Sylvanas finds and restores Nathanos in the Maw. Nathanos happens to bump into Anduin, murders him and then carves the little lion’s face off to wear it Hannibal Lecter style.
In a bathrobe I hope.
In a casket…
Actually I would prefer in a monk’s robe.
I want to see this stuck up, know-it-all, entitled little twerp go on a journey. I want to see the evidence of him growing as a person. Of him stumbling and falling along the way and having to pick himself up because noone is there to do it for him. I want to see him look to the sky and ask why and have NOONE answer him from the ether - Not Velen, Not Genn, and not Ghost Daddy Varian. I want him to find his OWN answers. I want to see him find his own truth.
Anduin finding the truth. “Y’all did fine without me so I’m gonna head on out since y’all don’t need me. Peace!”
Nah. That’s a cop out. Anduin needs to come to terms with “Scary Sword Take Part of My Soul” oh Boo Hoo. The Soul is like a Bonsai Tree. It’s very resilient and you can snip parts of it off but the whole thing will recover in time, continue to grow, and develop into something beautiful regardless of how much it suffers. Or in fact because it has suffered.
He needs to renew his relationship with the Light, and maybe dabble in Shadow a little bit. Maybe find balance. But whatever he does he needs to grow as a character, find a little wisdom and humility.
He shouldn’t
Here’s what will happen:
The Alliance heroes will be fighting some big bad evil dude, and be about to lose, but then we’ll all be like, “Baww God, that’s Anduin Wrynn’s music!” And Anduin will appear and dunk on the big bad.
I think we are going to see a significant change in how Anduin is represented in the game. He will stop being this whiny little weasel in the game and become more of a gray character that is not so opposed to engaging in combat. He will be more like his father now than the shallow little boy king.
Then leave to help Med’an because he’s not needed until the writers say he’s needed to help the poor Alliance.
Ouch. Never knew his mother (killed in a riot), father killed and suddenly has the responsibility of the throne while grieving over the death of his last remaining family member…
Besides, he did go on a journey in Pandaria and was nearly killed.
Especially given all he’s been through in his young life, Anduin’s got the best heart in the game.
I curse you with the possibility of stepping on a Lego in the future.
Priests are overrepresented amongst faction leaders. But there are no Shadow Priests faction leaders yet; Anduin’s return could be a good opportunity to fix that.
Human male yelling, “Hey! The King’s back!”
It’s a three-part joke.
It is a big turn off for me when they de-masculine male characters in leadership roles and at the same time go all Red Sonja on all the female characters in leadership. They need to make the leaders no matter what sex have a back bone and the desire to rage war if questioned. Anduin is always shadowed by Graymane like he needs a babysitter. the other male leaders of the alliance always appear to be weak, even on the horde side you have leader that sit on their hands and really never do anything but whine. It’s really been this way since Legion xpac.
I hope Turalyon isn’t prepared to give up the throne willingly. I would love for him to become a tyrant.
There are a few hints, like ordering Shaw to spy on the dracthyr, plus the generally poor light the Titans have been put in lately (except for Tyr). I’m looking forward to fighting the paladins next tbh.
