How about in a box.
Throws out Anduin and just plays with the box
I’d like him to come back with his mind broken. We find him with his underwear on his head, completely filthy, talking to rocks and figments of his imagination.
Just like my cat.
He will not return. Instead, 20 years into the future, he will be found living a curmudgeonly existence on an island, chugging blue milk from the teats of a weird sea cow.
In a casket
Being on the Throne would be a better excuse why Gilneas hasn’t been rebuilt.
I like to think of Anduin coming back like, with giant eagles’ wings and singin’ lead vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd with like an Angel Band, and I’m in the front row, and I’m hammered drunk.
If he should return, I would like him to be on a stretcher.
In a body bag.
I like to think of Anduin coming back as a muscular trapeze artist.
(I think I know the reference)
A rebuild we’ll never see.
But who knows what ideas were floated before settling on Turalyon. Though with the opening scenario with DF, I could see Genn being way more suspicious of Wrathion and the Dracthyr he brought along.
Slowly
Why are y’all so anti Anduin? I love him! I am hoping for a spectacular storyline near the end of DF, with him coming back all grown up and reclaiming his throne. Will he have to fight for it? I kind of hope so.
I want him to come back, matured and self-confident, only to have Turalyon lead a “kinder, gentler” coup against him. With Yrel’s help.
Didn’t the shadowlands close off to us once we finished our work there? If so how will Anduin return?
Also he will come back with in a large flash of light to save Wrathion
Because Blizz took him from a fearless child to a bratty know-it-all teen to a young adult drowning in doubt as he tries/tried to fill his daddy’s big boots. And the only one whose given him solid advice to help him try to find his way is Sylvanas instead of all Jaina and Genn who acted like they didn’t know what to do with him.
Married to Taelia with their child.
Still accessible as the Valdrakken renown quest sends us back into the Shadowlands.
Even strange as the Dragonscale Expedition asked a small strange question about the Aspects encountering the Undead in the lore. Maybe we’ll continue to use the Shadowlands.
