I uaually just scroll past or put a channel on ignore.
As for reporting. I generally report any post that appears to be an add for RMT site for raid/ m+ carries.
I very rare report in-game. mostly because I stay out of public chat channels. if I see someone be super inappropraite in /say or /yell, or someone with a super inappropriate name, itās a report, but it has to be something just vile.
I rarely /ignore on the forums, I donāt need to ignore people who think differently than I do. I report obvious trolls and people who deserve it.
Depends on how much I encounter.
When I see someone being particularly nasty toward another player, slurs, seriously dodgy player names and guild names. And Iāve reported the occasional bot and scammer when I come across them too. Maybe once a week that happens. Ignore in the game, very rarely. If itās bad enough, I usually go straight to report.
For some reason I have 4 different demon hunter tanks on ignore from my server due to M+ toxicity and leaving the key over a 2 week period. Before that had no one on ignoreā¦
There is no average. I report when I see something that needs reporting and I ignore when itās not worth reporting but I just donāt want to see it.
Every day. Every single blitz and rss mat h theres someone worth a ignore
Once an expansion, if ever. I rarely run into anyone who needs to go on an ignore list in game.
Even less than I ignore someone in game, because thereās nothing in my serverās chat channels to report.
I miss Triplexx. He was such a funny orc.
A lot of people have left this game. Sometimes I wonder if some of the attitudes in this thread have anything to do with that and if so, how much.
Eh, it depends on how argumentative people are in PUGs.
If thereās an altercation and someone starts getting insulting, I just put them on ignore and carry on as per usual. My friends who run with me almost always say it drives the other person crazy and telling the rest of the group,
āOh, sorry, Iāve had them muted since boss #2ā. Usually gets a laugh out of someone.
Lifeās easier when you ignore idiots on the internet, and my god thereās a lot more of them these days.
I think it has more to do with control than it does whether they play solo or not.
Although people with control issues tend to end up loners.
I may be an outlier in that as Iām considered a loner for the most part and donāt bother to report/flag/ignore list but Iām also kind of old.
Practically never. Thereās literally nothing going on worth reporting these days.
It might not always be the case, but it seems that the greater majority of the people who are admitting to constantly report and ignore are the solo players.
I mean I canāt speak for others, but part of the reason I became a solo player is because I got tired of dealing with crappy people in this game. Like most people are fine, but for example in a raiding guild thereās always just that one crappy person that no one wants to do anything about that you have to put up with.
I just got sick of dealing with that one person all the time and all the drama they create, even if you managed to find a nice group of people to play with thereās always just that one person, so I mostly play solo now.
Im not made of glass, unlike some of you, I only report spam or bots, nothing more
Yeah, thatās exactly what I was getting at. It seems to be mostly the solo players in this thread who arenāt able to deal with others so they have to report everything. Whatās crazy is that all these solo payers arenāt even playing with anyone so they go out of their way to find things to report and be upset about.
Itās even crazier to me that nobody is ashamed of admitting to be the Karen/nosey neighbor that has to call the police. lol
That makes sense. Itās interesting to me how things tend to turn out and how itās so very hard for us to see ourselves objectively and honestly, even for a few moments.
I also think thatās why most things never really change much if at all.
very often. too many trolls on the internet these days.
I report several times a day in trade chat. My email is filled with action taken replies for my hard work
I personally donāt see anything wrong with reporting someone for saying racial slurs in trade chat and I donāt really see how that makes me a āKarenā.
If you went outside and said a racial slur in a public space you would get the RL version of people āreportingā you and telling you off, telling you to go away, or even kicking you out.
How often do you actually see that? Thatās a rare occurrence. Iām fairly certain that very few people in this thread are thinking of racial slurs being what they are reporting. lol
People admitting to constantly reporting people arenāt seeing that many racial slurs throughout the day. lol cāmon
