a tip of a tuppence is a treasure
Iām the same way, but it took a decent amount of gold to get the KP and the 590 profession tools to get there.
I will craft for almost nothing, but it gets annoying to only get 1k tip on things. Gets even more annoying that the Artisanās Consortium takes a percentage of the tip, they should get a flat rate of like 100g or something.
2-5k is probably appropriate considering concentration you can also ask what items need to be rank 2/rank3 since depending on points spent some crafters wonāt need all rank 3 mats.
2-5k is generally too low if you are using concentration to craft things like weapons it takes a huge amount per weapon just because you want to save some gold on mats by using r2
At this point in the patch Iād say its fair, when concentration is at a premium at the start of the season Iād double or even triple it, but we are close or at the point where there are less orders and more people capable of supplying them. I could be out of touch though I make my own gear, and those are the prices I tend to take on the rare case where I find someone who wants something.
fair enough
The biggest BS thing about this xpac is the fact that it costed like 300k to get my profs up and I was thinking, ok Iāll just get most of back in crafting fees. But people are outright refusing to even pay 5k when I tell them a price. So itās just gold gone at this point. Itās so backwards. Crafting system worked kind of but itās a mess now.
did you max it early? my friend was getting 10-20k tips for weeks and plenty of crafts gave mats worth 10k+ gold each before the prices started dropping
I made an alt army so I wouldnāt have to find a crafter so I canāt answer what Iād tip, but I tell people who utilize my own crafters to tip whatever they want. The only time Iāll give an exact price is when someone has been asking in trade chat for a long time without any takers and I can do it but only at the expense of a lot of concentration due to not being fully specād. I will also set a price of 10k+ if someone requests my concentration so that they can use r2 mats.
Anything more then 5-7k in this WoW economy for clicking one button is criminal. With the price of consumables and enchants being as absurdly priced as they are in comparison to the passive gold made from playing the game.
Iāve always just tipped 2k. Never had anyone decline.
Thatās fine but donāt expect max quality. Expect someone who is leveling and canāt max it yet.
At least 1% of your total gold.
Never more than 20% of the total mats cost.
I tip 10-20k because it is a lot of work to max out those crafts and I want it to be worth it.
When a world quest for flying through a couple hoops nets you near 1k gold, I tip crafters 3k to 5k for a non weapon.
Depends entirely on concentration.
Also it isnāt up to a tip. Demand to know the cost. Tipping culture is long overdue to die out. Pay service folks appropriately and charge the customer appropriately
I tip 1k gold. If the crafter requests a higher tip than that I ask why. Usually it is due to concentration requirements, which is a fair consideration. If concentration isnāt an issue, there is no reason a crafter needs a tip higher than 1k gold.
This assumes you are supplying all the materials yourself, of course.
A megacrafter on one of my alts realms used to charge 10k, then 5k, and now they just ask for tips or enough to pay for finishing reagants. Makes me wonder how they could still be making gold.
resourcefulness is how they make their gold if you stack enough of it you can get a ton of free mats like 20% of the time you craft if you are one of those alt army crafters with 10 alts posting in trade all day it adds up to a ton plus as you can see in here tons of people just throw gold at the problem as a tip
Mats prices are cratering though. They must get a heck of a volume, though I wouldnāt be surprised since they have everything basically.
