I definitely see what you mean it looks like they were supposed to go back and touch up some of the textures maybe add more paint, add some bells and whistles and actually reshape the pieces to fit the Troll skeleton then just never did.
Literally the only part of it that’s off is the mask, but I have so many troll masks available to me that it isn’t a problem.
Yeah it definitely varies by armor type since some classes like the druid had basically no actual Troll mogs to choose from and others like Shaman already had a bunch.
Like my take is that if you just go and beat the crap out of some old dungeons and raids like ZA, ZF, ZG, DT or some of the others you’re going to get a hunk of wood that you can plunk on your noggin.
As to Druids: armor mogs are almost worthless for them since they’re spending almost all their time in different forms.
Definitely true, makes me feel even more sorry for the Rogues. Some of the old sets still look pretty good, I think most of us were just hoping to see the types of iconic Darkspear looks from WC3 and concept art, like the tall back pieces with the skulls, the glaives and the awesome Rush’kahs. As just another troll mog this set is fine but for the heritage set it is a bit of a let down.
Can you imagine how great the Heritage sets would have turned out if they’d just put them on the in game shop instead? In many cases it would have been well worth it if we’d know it’d turn out like this.
A Voodoo doll a skull and a couple extra little masks on that Back Rig would have gone a long way. All they had to do was reach into the boatload of existing concepts and idea just about anything they pulled out would have been great, especially if they hadn’t insisted on stripping each piece they did use of its personality.
Hey for everybody in here, does anyone have the Symbol of Gral toy? it’s a BFA toy that possibly has some kind of secret in game thing that may only work if lots of players get together that have it. This is based on a series of in game item tips and lore and quest bread crumbs that make for an interesting case for a secret thing. Does anyone here have it? I’ve got 3 people already. It’s related to the Shark Loa Gral and you buy it in Nazjatar.
If this had been the only method of acquisition since the beginning and they were only charging like $5 each I bet they’d all be awesome and Blizz would have made a killing.
I would prefer our sub price cover the required funding to make the set acceptable but if this is what it takes to get some effort around here I’d have greenlit the operation.
At this point if they aren’t going to commit to fixing the set they’d better put one on the shop so we can at the very least have a decent set, we waited long enough!
Well apparently we’re gonna have to keep on waiting since we still don’t have one
I’d pay atleast $5 for a good looking set I’m still angry that they slapped this thing together then pushed it through and are refusing to fix or address any of the issues with it.
I’m surprised that waving money under Blizzards nose didn’t get them crawling out of their lair to fix this set, they must really like elephants.
Yeah I was kinda hoping things would be better under Microsoft but so far I’m really not impressed.
Same here, maybe TWW will be better since that’s gonna be basically their first baby. But at the same time I just keep holding out hope for the next thing and it’s just never up to my expectations and I’m really not hard to please, if you’re gonna cut corners don’t make it obvious and their problem is their cutting so many corners everywhere that it’s just right in my face and I don’t appreciate that. This set and quest chain was sort of the last straw for me.
My mon, I’ve been having a very similar problem for a very long time, especially since PvP and WPvP are some of my favorite things about this game and to watch day after day as effort never makes an appearance is very disheartening. I’m right there with ya
Draenei have elephants… maybe there was a mix up between the two sets?
Wouldn’t surprise me, with the effort that went into the quest chain for the Draenei and compared to what seems to be cut content and a likely unfinished Troll Quest line I wouldn’t be surprised if they had the Draenei team work on both and they didn’t really understand or have time to finish the Troll stuff.
I wasn’t expecting the troll heritage to be so new, but at least they explained the new loa.
Still feels a little dishonest as it doesn’t represent sterotypical darkspear at all
