i read on blizzard’s livejournal that it ends in 2035
Where are you getting that info? WoW seasons are usually 6 months.
For example, Season 2 started May. Season 3 started in November. May - November is 6 months.
TWW launches in September which is 2 months earlier than typical season dates (November). So it might be that Season 3 will be November - April (5 months), leaving Season 4 to be April - September (5 months).
Otherwise Season 3 ends in May like usual and Season 4 is short, lasting just 4 months to TWW in September.

Stinks that by the time I finally get geared the season is over. Why bother
I agree with the sentiment to an extent, but all of WoW is basically a repeated loop of a sense of progression into a reset. People leave if they’re standing still.
That’s why all the systems like MMR inflation, lockouts, resource limits, vault, all the timed / gated content, and patch cadence, is what it is.
WoW sells a continuous sense of RPG progression, not a set or balanced game. Not a finished product.

Likely the prepatch date.
I thought blizzard confirmed there was gonna be another season. If it really does last too august, anything I achieve this season is just gonna be meaningless because inflation will be so high. That’s unfortunate

How much more inflation can we reasonably expect? Would love to try and push 1800 on some of my characters for the tmog.
And yes, I am the type of player that needs inflation to hit 1800 probably

Well, last season it was 20 per week spread over the course of the week, so roughly 80 per month and I imagine we probably have at least 3 months of the season left? MMR also seems to get extra wild in the final weeks but that might just be people finally playing.

You can make that argument about literally anything in life.
I can say anything in life is meaningless because it’s a video game?
Hell, even if you’re the best of the best people will just insult you for other reasons. I’ve heard people say seriously nasty stuff about/to R1 players over the years.
If you get 1800 the first or last day of the season it’s going to entirely fall on context of whether someone wants to give you credit or not, not whether the achievement actually meant more one day or the other.
So, like I said, it’s a video game–literally no one cares anywhere but here and 99% of people are going to insult you either way if that’s what they’re looking to do. So just find your own happiness and enjoy what means something to you.
