How much gold do you all usually have in reserve?

I have a personal rule that my gold should NEVER drop below 120,000, roughly $15 in value, unless it’s something I’d have been willing to buy with real money (i.e., my beloved Sapphire Panther mount).

I’m not asking how much gold you HAVE, but what’s the minimum amount of gold you’ll reach before thinking it’s time that you HAVE to start grinding and raiding to get it back up? What’s a healthy amount of gold?

I’d say around 200k is a safe amount to stay at. I have fallen below 180k but I start feeling weird.

Pretty sure people above me are trolling… But I don’t want to fall below 10k gold because I start to feel homeless.

10k is already kind of homeless. Start auctioning off crafting materials, that 10k will become a 100k quick.

10k is two rep chests… you’d be getting that every couple days anyway.

I’m not really sure. I guess perhaps about 100k on a couple of characters and about 10k on alts. I wanted to say that I like your mog Qiuyengna.

About 4 at the moment.

I haven’t played in a long time, but I generally just sold a token every few months and I was good. I never really bought much, just liked to have to bread to when I wanted something or to pimp out an alt to level up. So maybe like 120 on my main and around 3-10k on alts.

They’re not. People still have millions left over from the pre-nerf Legion mission tables.

I have a bit over 1 million on this character. Close to 2 million on my old main and several 100s of thousands on different alts. I don’t ever buy anything nor do I farm gold. It just accumulates. Occasionally I’ll buy stuff but there really isn’t anything to spend it on .

Im generally happy with around 10k. The rest i give to kids. i have zero need or interest in collecting it. That enough for repairs if needed.

I’m not afraid to spend all my gold for something I want. I can always get more. (I kind of wish it was as easy to make real money.)

Never less than 1k never more than 20. I don’t farm herbs but I do keep plenty in stock for inscription and it adds up. I don’t spend gold on useless stuff or frivolous things. I’ve tried to sell every battle pet I’ve somehow gotten over the years. For a while it was good money because I don’t need Azeroth Pokémon. The people on Azeroth ARE Pokémon. But no one is buying battle pets anymore. QQ.

A couple million or so. I kinda feel poor if I have less than that.

My only personal rule of thumb that I have for game gold really, is that I will not spend more than half my stash on one thing.

I don’t mind dropping 500k on a cute mount, or going on an AH shopping spree for some transmogs I don’t have yet, but I still gotta be able to buy my flasks for raid and have reserves for repair, other consumables and mats and whatnot.

A few million in each of my two guild banks, one horde and one alliance. WoD & Legion were very good for gold, especially if you had lots of alts.

i dunno, i never pay attention to my gold. i put my BOE’s i don’t need on the AH for whatever amount auctioneer suggests, i vendor my greys by hitting the button my bags addon pops up whenever i’m at a vendor, and i stay around 200k or so unless i get a wild hair and buy something stupid expensive.

people worry about gold?
