How much does vers stacking really help?

So what, you get an extra 6-7% damage increase? That’s nice, but other secondary skills seem like they would give more yes?

I imagine it’s also about damage reduction.

True. But you still seeing what? 9% max?

Even with the nerf to modifiers, alot of people if they run modifiers still have 25-40%. Then u have conflict and lucid vers bonuses. Ur getting 2 benefits for 1. You may do slightly less damage but now ur healers are expending less mana healing u. Ur heals if u have them are stronger. Ur trinkets are stronger. Not to mention if u run conflict the damage reduc is doubled.

9% max? there are people with 40-50% verse. it helps a lot… plus it scales with conflict and strife… you take like 10% damage in stuns

I have enjoyed being able to survive a kidney shot. I don’t know. To me, the game just feels so much better when there is time to actually play your character rather than being stunned and then dying but maybe that is an unpopular opinion.

That’s why they nerfed it … god forbid you survive an opener from a Rogue ( the fav child of the devs )

Even after the nerf it seems like you’ll still be able to get a decent amount since the nerf is to the corruption and not the overall stat (and only in PvP).

I wonder if people will still want to stack the corruption or just stack some other unnerfed stat corruption and just get vers to 30+% just from gear with no vers corruption?

Also wish they’d remove the rotation already and maybe give some echoes back for removing/scrapping corrupt gear so it’s easy to change plans as they make changes.

It’s not all about damage. Some like haste for faster CC’s and generally more difficult to interrupt casts. But yeah, damage reduction in a world of tier 3 corruption nonsense and bike trinkets is really valuable.

It’s really really hard to get baseline Vers to 30% from my experience without corruption amps unless you have a socket on almost every piece of gear.

Wasn’t sure how high it goes with better gear. Outside of PvP my 452 resto druid has 31/15.5 which was my highest vers amount on any character, but I think it’s lower in PvP since some of it’s coming from azerite traits that I think get nerfed in PvP. Only a few sockets but every slot has vers that can including two trinkets.

Vers stacking is still going to be extremely strong after the nerf.

I thought that was mage?

you can buy sockets now.

Most people don’t have 100000 corrupted momentos to socket every piece of gear

Its both of them

Mage is the second most fav … and this nerf helps them too as Mastery corruption stack is unnerfed allowing Fire Mages to delete you under combustion.

That is true but gear can roll sockets. So you are only socketing BiS stated trinkets, rings and items that didn’t get a socket.

First off it’s not the damage, in fact when you use the Vers stat, your gaining the damage first and half the value is then included in reducing the damage you take from other sources. So yes it does make a difference.

Right now base line if I go with my high vers gear without corruptions I’m not even close to the vers stacking players who are rocking close to the 55% which means everything is hitting 55% stronger and the damage they take is reduced by half of that. They are only nerfing the corruption effect by 35% in pvp situations which means you will still do a lot of damage outside of pvp.

However some classes have other avenues in other stats to stack, locks with haste, pallies and mages with mastery, the list goes on where those classes can get their damage outside of vers.

This character takes 15-25% less damage at all times depending on my procs and that increases to 30-50%+ while stunned with conflict major.
