How much does rank 13/14 gear cost in TBC prepatch

Im excited for the prepatch and the prospect of lvl 60 arenas. So i was wondering if anyone has a source or knows how much honor does the GM gear and weapons (rank 14) cost? Cheers

~14k honor and 20-30 marks per armor piece
~15k honor and 20 marks for 1h
~25k honor 40 marks for 2h

So basically farm 60k honor and 100 marks and you’re good. Yes, I rounded. It’s better to err over than under when it comes to shopping or budgeting.

I grossly overestimated some. There are several databases you can look up that should have pretty accurate TBC numbers as far as honor costs.

The numbers are just wonky I don’t want to add them up.
8,415 honor for gloves, 13,005 for pants, etc

Just so you’re aware you’ll replace all of it by 66, I wasn’t wearing a single piece by 70.
But hell, better than going into it with greens from hellfire I guess!

Whats the cap amount of honor was it at 75k?

Thats no problem, for me its a combo of gearing for the 60 arenas and also a bit of rp xmog i can keep in the bank. but thanks for the heads up

I believe so, wowhead has an old faq article theyve republished from blizz back in the day pre tbc launch

For a melee alt or even an under geared main, the weapons are extremely worthwhile. The full set, no, better off grinding gold unless you’re already rich.

yeah i have r10 set and unstoppable force, so im eyeing that GM r14 weapon first.

unless you get very unlucky with drops, GM mainhand lasted my rogue going into kara, Replaced it with Blinkstrike the following week.

depends on the part, but some are like 20 or so honor tokens from specific BG’s + certain values of honor.

Ill see if I can find the breakdown on that.

Helm Costs 13005 honor points and 30 Alterac valley marks
Chestpiece Costs 13770 honor points and 30 arathi basin marks
Shoulderguards Costs 8415 honor points and 20 arathi basin marks
Boots Costs 8415 honor points and 20 arathi basin marks
Gloves cost 8415 honor points and 20 alterac valley marks
Leggings cost 13005 honor points and 30 warsong gulch marks

so the full set is;
65025 honor points, 50 Alterac valley marks, 70 arathi basin marks, and 30 warsong gulch marks.

That’s from 2.3 but might be right could be slightly discounted because 2.3.
