How much does ping affect parse? Me and my friend both play locks and have almost identical gear/relative skill level but he beats me on most fights. I get 70+ ping and he gets 20ish ping. I know ping isn’t as much of a big deal in WoW as it is in other games but wouldn’t this affect it alittle?
Doubtful it’s ping. Might make you miss 1 or 2 casts, if that.
Look at logs, per boss encounter and see what the discrepancy is between you two. I bet it’s rotation and number of casts - not lag.

Im not that great on WCL but can’t you track uptime on dots and time spent casting?
And potentially track crits? Maybe they got some lucky crits

Ping doesn’t start to cause issues until about 400+ish imo. In most cases, you can just be executing your rotation differently
Would be more of internet hic-ups and ISP issues.
I had one last Sat night where the rocket animation, GTFO, and my death occurred simultaneously on Mimi’s last phase. Highly annoying since it was legit a Murphy’s Law circumstance.

I get 99s and 100s on rural internet with 150+ ms.
It does make certain things more difficult, but parses are a meme and there are ways to make up for latency issues. Parses have more to do with rng and your raid comp than actual individual performance.
You know sometimes people are just better than us, it’s a hard reality to accept I know. Its okay, im here for you.

It could also be from other things like RNG and maybe you’re being targeted more from the boss which makes you have to move more. So many things come into play for sure.

As someone who mains Frost DK, if I don’t get Killing Machine procs during, my dps is AIDS
Going to state the obvious but when talking about ping it’s measured in miliseconds (hence why some call it ms) which means that you having a ping of ~70ms is equivalent to 0.07 seconds of lag, so it’s not even a tenth of a second it’s seven hundredths of a second.
The difference is probably when trinkets and cooldowns are used and not the rotation itself.
Just wanted to chime in as I see nobody has suggested that you “git gud.”
