Someone in epic pvp gear vs green. Do you all really think its that much at the end of the day?
It definitely affects your survivability, especially in smaller PVP settings like arena.
Green PVP gear is more than passable in epic BGs or maps like AB where you can blend in a little bit more.
Otherwise, your HP stands out like a sore thumb and you’ll immediately become a target.

If we’re talking full honor set vs full conquest set yes it will make a big difference.

Yes. The stats associated with ilvls is arbitrary. 11 might as well be 100 ilvls as the numbers relative to their stat weight is mostly meaningless.

It’s actually huge.
On one piece? Very little but you have to step back and look at the bigger picture. In full greens in a BG or arena your health is most likely going to be around the 8M mark. At 684 in full epics you’re looking like 11M and higher before buffs. One or two green pieces will bring that down but not by much. Very worth it as a whole.

Simply put, yes, it will have a major impact on the power of your character.
Item level is how you increase the power of your character beyond hitting max character level.
Yea, 11 is a lot. Especially for all pieces total. Assuming you’re using 1 weapon, it’s like 15 pieces? I think? So you’re looking at 165 total Ilvl more of stats.
Not enough to worry about. I just went 8-0 with 652 ilevel in arena and have gotten 3k in full greens over a dozen times in blitz. If you play at a disadvantage then you learn how to play better to win so when you are fully geared you’ll be cracked

When you’re a healer the affect isn’t really felt but if you’re a dps in full greens and go into a bg, you will die almost instantly lol
There is a big difference in HP/power between Conquest and Honor gear. Like others have said; it is easy to catch up - run crates, do Epic BGs since you won’t be targeted as much, collect Bloody Tokens, run Arathi Basin Brawl when its up, etc. Don’t hurt your team by going into a BG under geared.
If you try healing in full greens while 6 people are attacking you then you’ll see it’s not as one sided as you think
My warrior is hitting so low as arms and all I hear is how op they are. But I certainly don’t feel it. I wonder if that gear matters since everyone I fight is epic out
Considering how easy it is to get the world pvp gear the bigger question is how much does 3 ilvls matter. ie world pvp vs conquest.
At the top end I feel like it really does matter a lot more. As in when you get near max the last few ilvls seem to matter way more with the way scaling works.

You can be 3k MMR but 1.6k rating. Stop the cap bro.
I am shocked anyone could say that there’s nothing to worry about between being honor geared and conquest geared.
Skill can only do so much and at the end of the day someone in honor gear is going to have a lot of trouble against fully conquest geared characters no matter their role and to say otherwise is to ignore reality.
8m vs 11m health, along with the difference in versatility which really makes it more like 8m vs 12m, and a big increase in raw damage output. Never mind the extra haste if you’re a caster making it easier to get casts off, more crit for procs, etc.
Honor gear vs conquest gear is the difference between getting killed before your healer can react vs living long enough to get a heal to survive. And you can’t do damage if you’re dead.
