Classic launch and player caps were authentic to Vanilla?

Well thats simple math.
Lets use some rough numbers.
Lets say currently we have 2000000 players in classic. Im sure its more. Vanilla servers were 3000
So 3000/2000000=666.666 repeating.
Player caps are authentic to vanilla now that layering is gone.
Are you asking for there to be more dead/low/medium pop realms?
Actually they arent. Blizzard devs stated in a post they raised the server caps outside of layering.
Servers atm are closer to 10000.

2 million active accounts is not the same as 2 million concurrent players. You wouldn’t even need half that.
You have to take into account the expected dropoff. Once everything is outt, and people consider themselves done, the pop will be less than half, if not 1/4th what it is now. Blizzard was preparing for this.
Um no these servers have more then 3x more the overall populatikn caps then vannilla did

That’s not what Blizzard has said at all.
They stated that a medium server now in 2019 has far more than the most overpopulated server in 2006.

but it would be a disaster if they went that route. most realms would be dead before BWL rolled out. Lots of people aren’t playing because of the sub cost to play the game long term isn’t worth it with such little content.

I think these devs would prefer queues over having to merge down the line.

Classic servers are actually higher than retail according to blizzard.
