How many priests will go Dracthyr?

Maybe you still don’t like how the humanoid Visage forms look, but I just wanted you to know in case you’re unaware-- every class that can be Dracthyr (does not apply to Evoker) will be able to permanently remain in Visage form, even when in combat.

It won’t be like Worgen where combat forces you into a wolf.

You never have to go into Dragon form, unless you use the Soar racial to Skyride. (again, does not apply to Evoker)

Interesting I did not know that but I’m still a hard no lol

Haha for sure. Happy to let people know incase they read the forum and didn’t realize this.

To Blizzard, a mighty; Power Word: GFYS.

I’m not paying twenty five bucks for a movement ability.

considering shaman weren’t added for dracthyr, I wouldn’t count on elf shaman any time soon.

not worried
Dracthyr used the Basic of the basic classes.

Shamans are not considered that basic, they were very limited to specific races. Im not surprised dracthyr wasn’t included with the shamans roles.

same goes for paladins. They had something going on with shamans for a bit.

remember, hord didn’t have paladins until Bloodelves.
Alliance didn’t have shamans until Alien octopus

i don’t click links on the forums, sorry!

But i have seen the videos explaining the speed differences if that was what you posted.

still not really gonna go drac unless i see something else that i like come up

I likely won’t change either, but it’s tempting.

The video showed a length of ground, the evoker made it to the end first, then Dracthyr just a second later and the other race was 3 seconds behind the non evoker Dracthyr. That’s two casts of flash heal later.

Considering how long it takes to level now, I’d likely never pay for a race change and just level a new toon.

As long as dracthyr in dragon form don’t show transmog, my only dracthyr will be my evoker.

Every non-Evoker Dracthyr will be able to stay in visage/human form full time, even in combat. So unless you’re really invested in using dragon form, the lack of dragon mogs shouldn’t be an issue.

I don’t play my priest much any more, but had I had Dracthyr available back then, it would’ve been real hard to justify not taking it. The ability to just negate knockback and yank effects for free? Without any cooldown whatsoever? And it’s not even on the GCD? And it’s also faster than just running and gives air control? Huge.

(Non-Evoker) Dracthyr can stay in humanoid form permanently unless you use the Soar Skyriding ability.

Evokers will still be transformed into dragons when using abilities in combat so this doesn’t apply to them— but every other class that Dracthyr can play never even has to see their dragon form. The only time you’d see it is on the character select screen unless they end up changing that, but I doubt it.

Yes, you can still use glide and the knock-back racial in humanoid form. They won’t transform you into a dragon either.

i gotta say tho
imagine the visage form on stealth champions or melee champions like war

That out-of-combat healing is crazy.

glances over in goblin

… Yeah. Who would do that? XD

That would require me to play Horde!

Which is a barren wasteland on MG. I like having an active community, lol. Otherwise, I’d maybe consider it.

Now with Poison Cleansing Totem.

Blizzard consistantly hurts the player when they fail on designing their Dungeons - Instead of making Bursting/Devour immune to Poison Cleansing Totem / Mass Dispel – They rather just nerf the player… I’m really getting tired of having my kit nerfed because of blizzard shortsight.

Belf wasn’t nerfed because it was too good in m+, it was nerfed because it was too good everywhere. M+ was just the first real public showcase of that brokenness on a scale worth paying attention to.

MD and poison cleansing are different stories though.

I’ve been a Blood Elf on this Character since burning crusade. Its had a few name changes and realm swaps, but it looks like I’m going Dracthyr.

Hopefully a large percentage of Priests race change, and then maybe… just maybe, Blizzard will be convinced that there actually is an issue with Priest mobility.

But we all know that’s not the case. They’ll just nerf Dracthyr again. Its what they do best.

Seems harsh considering the alternative of simply leveling a new character exists
