Take a look at this video, even with nerfed glide, the Dracthyr gets there 3 seconds faster. Even if it’s only used when out of feathers, we’re hurting for movement so bad that this might be attractive to some.

The knockback cancel is the bigger draw…moving faster is obviously always nice though.

Man I’ve been thinking about it. But also have been Blood elf since BC, so it’s a tough choice for me.

Ive been a blood elf since bc as well and it just gives me so much resentment that when bfa hit our arcane torrent it was nerfed into uselessness, when it used to be an interrupt. But no no keep stacking bs on other races and classes and leave us to rot. >…<

I feel ya brother, I said as much in another topic about racials. They nerf arcane torrent to an expunge and then give dracthyr 2 aoe interrupts. The hell is blizz thinking.

Blizzard used to have sense in its design, now it has m+ and wants a design that garners cents.

Honestly not many, but of the total number of non evoker players a disproportionate number will be priests.
M+ was the root cause of the torrent nerf, there were issues with stacking belts so rather than evaluate the design of the affixes the nerfed torrent.
Same thing with mass dispel.
Yea I really enjoyed my Blood Elf Demon Hunter in Legion and having that AOE interrupt being off GCD and provide resource was very good.
But I also have a Night Elf Demon Hunter and the ability to bypass groups of targets and Shadowmeld and even use your group fear sigil to allow your group to walk past without getting into combat and then you can just shadowmend away your threat is amazing.
It sucks because I have more time and effort put into my Blood Elf Demon Hunter and I enjoy playing horde way more as I started back in classic beta, but I find it more enjoyable gameplay mechanics wise on my Night Elf Demon Hunter.
I guess it’s good I have both lol.
But I really miss old Arcane Torrent

I like voidelf to much. I like teleporting threw beams in raids and the buff we get
Sounds like that speed boost would be pretty handy overall.
But im not going to sacrifice my extremely handsome good looks during pvp for it

If dwarf wasn’t a thing probably would. Stone form is still much stronger than any racial in the game.
Shadowmeld is hard to give up mainly for M+ and world content. Dracthyr gives you a major advantage in raid though.
Will to survive has actually saved me a bunch of times after getting stunned when I wasn’t expecting to. I think I’ve used it more this expansion already than any other since it was changed from every man for himself.
But, increased movement speed is highly attractive.
I was heavily considering it, but they nerfed the glide momentum and took away the CC…
it was a fun idea for a short time and the animations look great, but i don’t think i will go drac anymore TBH. i will most likely be in visage form 99% of the time anyhow
Might give it a spin on one of my priests if Blizzard puts their race change ticket on a sale.
I’m considering it, but I’d miss cast pushback immunity and reduced mog costs, lol.
If you look at the link I posted, it was only a slight nerf.
