They can’t make the 2.2k weapons 1800, then there would be no point in t1 weapons in s7 and completely destroy participation at the lower end of arena.
The main complaint is that they made changes without telling anyone.
No one has an issue with them changing the weapons rating, just the lack of communication.
People that are just playing 10 games per week (AKA casuals) are probably around there. I mean it seems from a lot of the replies, as well as the massive participation drop earlier in the season, that most casuals have quit (myself included) and what you have left is semi-hardcore/hardcore pvpers.
They can do whatever they want, they do so quite frequently and don’t really care what you or the playerbase as a whole thinks.
blizzard, king of non-communicated changes. I had gotten a few of my friends to 2k in 3s and this is a very welcome adjustment because now they can get the T2 weapons with their extra points. But not allowing people to plan for this is nuts and will probably discourage the lower end of the ladder from queuing next season. Oh well ladder is already pretty dead at the lower end as is. looking forward to the 3k duelist cut-off next season

Who cares just make the s7 t1 weps 251 like the shields/OHs/set are. Then new people/alts get good gear catch up also.

Gotta love not doing a final week of points on my 2100 alts because I couldn’t get any gear…
Rival is top 10% (est 2200 this season), Challenger I believe is top 35% (est 1750 this season) to put things in perspective. So “most” participants, as in the majority, would be statistically less than this.
Anyone that cares about Arena should still be barking about no cross realm LFG, we can group and queue with cross realm players but not find them in the LFG tool.

Funny bit is discord is why this game got “less social”, at least for in the actual game chat. Its good stuff.
YOu can see a server wide chat not being in a major city (for active local/trade) or in channel 4.
Assuming a player respects that /4 is for groups only…well now they tell their funny cat stories in most main servers’ discord lol.
Challenger cut off is 1750, meaning 65% of the ladder is below 1750 LOL.
The discount is a participation trophy lol… You know the one you were relying on for an alt.
Just add a vendor where you can buy each piece for 1 WoW Token. That way you don’t have to even play the game you just buy everything you want with real money like in GDKP.
Forcing players to search for specific discord servers to find arena partners is not acceptable. The player base shouldn’t do Blizzards job when they could just update the LFG tool to include cross realm.
Cata started weapons for honor. Its day comes when cata comes.
We aren’t asking for handouts. We are in the content. Many are honor capped. On several alts. Even with occassionaly gem buys to sell on the AH. I’d…rather buy weapons/shields/offhands/relics then cut out miners here tbh.
Lets be honest here…the season 6 weapon is trash when compared to pve options. Season 5 more so. and we can’t even get that that either.
For now, blizz just needs to do something about the surprise rating req change for elite weps. There are a lot of us that dipped below 2k helping friends get games for points in the last week because 2k rating wasn’t communicated as worth anything.

The tin foil here, valid imo, is this keeps crafted weapons market viable.
It not be so bad if…the crafted BOE’s weren’t trash too. I’d get keep crafted weapons viable as a goal. If…they were actually viable.
Beyond an basic “well it is an 80 weapon” justification. All they have. Not a great weapon, but its an 80 weapon.
