The actual slap in the face is them not informing use they were doing this. They clearly said they are not removing the requirement for T2 weapons. I would have loved to know they were going to reduce to 2k, as I would have tried to push some friends over that raiting to get the weapon.
Also, who cares when season ends, it’s a great way for people to get catch up gear and hopefully have higher participation next season as S6 was atrocious with that aspect.

Bro you are so cringe. As someone who has “earned” his 2200 weaps on three toons (one of which was only hateful/deadly geared and nax weap), those “hard stuck” 2k players are not a threat. I am actually a fan of them removing all rating requirements on the weapons. If they did that arena participation would increase. Why wouldn’t we want to start the next season off on a level playing field?

And the quality of random BGs would increase, as we wouldn’t have groups of ppl with exclusive weaponry.
It’s the weaponry that makes you either overpowered or underpowered.
I have my 2200 wep before hand. But i would of loved to known they were going to do this, I have 2 alts that are like 1950 and have been hoarding points for 6+ weeks so I can be caught up and actually push on them in s7. Woulda played a few more games to just get to 2k if I known this.
I think this is a great change if they keep them at 2k for the future, gives people an easier time to get gear, which is great and hopefully increased participation. I just want to kept in the loop.

Agreed. Good change IMO, hell they could even reduce the rating req to 1800 for all I care. Just disappointed it wasn’t communicated properly.

Its still a participation trophy. And won’t help those that couldn’t earn it too begin with. That’s the hard fact!
It would be cool if they implemented RBGs for the bros that only BG. I probably wouldn’t play them because I prefer arena, but I know a lot of folks that would prefer RBGs over arena.

I wouldn’t play them because they don’t come with a X-realm, automated queue, but I wouldn’t stand in the way of those who want RBGs either.

Total bummer Blizzard said nothing about the T2 2200 Arena PvP Weapons rating requirement change for once the season is over. Completely disrespectful.
Rated Battlegrounds, RBG’s, would be a great addition to the game for all styles of Classic. Team names with ladders for Vanilla, TBC, and WotLK would be awesome.
All information shown on the Classic WoW Armory site. In addition to Blizzard hosting RBG 10v10 tournaments (Roster Size 20 players) that would happen every season along with Arena Tournaments, via their GameBattles association. Keeping Tournament realms active and cost justified with seasonal purchase buy in.

T2 weapons are 1800 now
Is this still true? The rating inflation they put in this season got so freaking high. Was the average rating still below 1600?
Looking at em right now, still 2k.

Yeah that’s kinda low of them, they really need to communicate changes especially for those on the cusp like that.
Thing is, they should have never used the Wrath system of loot distribution and striaght up went MoP all the way on this to eliminate this crap entirely.
Reason being is that Rating req on gear ALWAYS sponsors boosting behavior that new players will always face and be turned off by.
New players are the meat and potatoes of PVP, if we don’t have them then the Arena participation drops into the depths of hell and there is long Q’s at high ratings and the meta becomes really stale, tho I don’t think there is any fixing the wrath meta with more players, but it may be better at low ratings, and that in turn MIGHT fix some stuff.

I do agree that we need the new players, and truthfully, I agree with everyone - it is a bit over the top from me to say they shouldn’t have access to the weapons. Even though they did not earn them.
However, the lack of communication is still a joke. And what’s with the arbitrary 2k number? Hopefully this helps encourage people to play more, but I doubt it. It’s easier to get a 252 weapon from slaying a dragon in a pug (for most) than achieveing higher rating

They gave 50 free mmr every week. The inflation has been insane if you are at 1600 currently you’re actually like 1200.
Would have been great to know they were reducing requirement for 2.2k so my lower rated alts could have snagged the 252 weps. Have a handful that hit 2k but didnt bother staying above it as I helped others cap.

My faerlina char is showing 1800, but i just hopped onto bene now and it’s showing 2k, i thikn they are in the process of making changes
I’m on faerlina and still very much 2k. We’ll see though.
