I know the other realms were at over twice the queue Grob had, but I’m seeing a… LOT… more people than I expected to on Grob. How many of them are here just because it was a lower pop realm at the time and are not interested in the RP part of the realm?
I have nothing against a few people or parts of Guilds who just want the PvP experience with no interest in RP, but I don’t want Grob to become more PVP realm than RP-PVP, which I feel it’s quickly heading towards. I’ve already encounter tons of people who ignore your attempts to talk to them or just use /s and /yell completely out of character.
Probably about a third to half. RPers are usually more community minded and stick around. That being said we won’t see a ton of rp yet everyone to busy leveling
Ya I’m expecting the queue to scare a lot of non-RP committed folks to leave for the even newer servers, and hopefully the incessant non-RP compliant name reports that people like me send out will put another dent in people who don’t want to deal with RP rules. If at the very least the non-RPers are not actively griefing RP events, we’re in good shape.
i’d wait for things to settle down. currently classic is being bombarded with people and those in game are more interested in leveling than roleplaying.
RPers are the minority on Grobbulus. We were always going to be though, because we were always the minority on the Retail RP-PvP servers as well, and at the end of the day, Grobbulus is nothing more than a conglomeration of the six RP-PvP communities from retail, with all the good and the bad that comes with it.
Best case scenario, we might be 40% of the server… but it’s probably more like 20-30% unfortunately.
Hopefully though, by sticking it out and persevering, we might be able to out last a good portion of the PvP bros who find they can’t cut it in Classic and drop off before or even shortly after hitting Level 60.
At that point, as Grobbulus’ population stabilizes, maybe the ratio of RP to Non-RP can equal out a bit more.
I was surprised at the significant amount of non RP names that were in Elwynn Forest last night. Someone asked in general chat if there was RP there and one person said they rolled on Grob because it was one of the less full servers and that there wouldn’t be much RP.
I am however feeling encouraged by the large amount of RP guilds that have a lot of members right now. I think RP is on the backburner right now because understandably people want to level. Hopefully the bad apples will give up and eventually get bored.
There appears to be quite a number of blatant non RPers. I do not mind the ones who simply respect the RP rules, but the blatantness of many is astounding. Not surprising though, given blizzard’s horrible planning and RPPVP servers getting so much “overflow”
I posted on the General Classic forum that Blizzard should open a PST & EST PvP server, and open it up ONLY to transfers out of Grobbulus.
The idea is to get PvPbroz out, let them keep their character/name/guild/progress and GTFO so those of us who want RP-PvP can actually log in and play.
