I was wondering after which point my vault is upgrated to get rewards that can be lv up to 639 which i think is the higest item lv
+10s will give you Myth track items. You need only 1 dungeon to unlock a single slot, 4 dungeon completions give you 2 slots, and 8 will give you 3 slots to pick from.
From there, gilded crests from 8 and up allow you to upgrade to 639
Continuing on with that, you do not need to time the 10s for Myth Track gear.
As long as you complete them it will unlock for the vault
Think we should all, collectively, start omitting this bit of info lol
While I agree, if you have a hroup of friends that CAN do 10s but maybe not time them, then its still good to know
nice to know, lets hope i finda group who doesnt quit after first wipe
what level keys are you currently running?
I mean while it doesn’t give as many crests or points for completion. It helps with vault so it def made getting 3 slots this week. Had a group that had a very rough time on the last boss of SoB and Ara.
Its not that. I just dont like telling people “hey its okay to fail upwards!” because then people get it in their heads that you can fail into rewards and you dont have to try and you can be carried.
Just not a good mindset to have
I guess I don’t get the “fail upwards” terminology. To me, if the listed goals was “For Completion” then the timer isn’t relevant… if you achieve completion you have succeeded (not failed upwards). If the listed goal was “Standard” or no specific goal was listed it’s implied that timing it is the goal, the group often disbands once it’s clear that goal will not be met (also not failed upwards).
What does “failed upwards” even mean if you goal was timing and you failed, or your goal was completion and you failed?
Yeah, but you only get 5 crests for untimed keys, which is a ridiculous slap in the face in this awful season. Tripling your keys necessary for enough upgrade currency for one rank is an absurdly punishing layer of punishment on an already miserable experience.
Getting rewards for failing. It’s that simple. As someone who focuses on M+, i don’t think we should be rewarded for failing the timer.
That’s failing the timer, not failing the dungeon.
Bis gear from vaults ? Well you gota do the 8 keys a week, plus the rng, so probably better off winning the lotto
Although I get what you’re saying, it’s very short-sighted.
1> The obvious, as has been mentioned, if you don’t give rewards for a bricked Key, people will just leave after a wipe. Even if you COULD still time the Key, they’re just sorta “get a feeling” … and leave. That sort of mentality is worse than “failing upwards.”
2> It’s an internet-based game. Schtuff happens. I was running a 10 Stonevault last night, we were doing GREAT, everyone on-point, had 9+mins going to the last boss and … tank disconnects. But it’s ok, he came right back! WHEW!! We pull this boss, get about 50% into it… and he disconnects again. Wipe.
Run back… get about 20% in … disconnects. All said and done, we lost the timer. But none of that was anyone’s fault. You think we’re “failing upwards” because Comcast sucks?? That’s absurd.
The current system is a decent compromise is giving a little something when things don’t go your way.
Alot of people have been subbed for literal decades i cant even imagine the amount of hours played that is, but those very same people cant time a 10? To me thats failing the game lmao
The entire premise of m+ is the timer
Fail the timer you failed m+
People do this now, with rewards. People do this even when you can still time after the wipe
Yes. Because those are exceptions. Not the rule. You dont design around outliers. Ive been disconnected mid run and the group 4 manned it without me and i logged in the next day to crests and loot in my mailbox. I don’t think that promotes healthy game play or mindsets.
PvP: no win = no rating = no upgraded gear
Raid: no win = no loot = no progression
M+: no win = loot and upgrade currency and vault rewards
It doesnt fit. You shouldnt be able to fail yoyr way in to max level rewards
Except this isn’t true. You get plenty of rewards for merely participating/ losing in PvP.
Raiding is the only system that is all-or-nothing. But … I don’t think that’s a fair comparison in how overall gearing in the game works.
But it doesn’t seem like you’re interested in an actual conversation about this, when you think people who get disconnected should be punished. lol gg
Except you cant constantly fail upwards. You cant go 0/100 and get the same rewards as the R1 players
Not necessarily. Trash drops BoE gear
Yes.
PvP doesnt reward you when you disconnect
Raid doesnt reward you when you disconnect
Why should m+?
