Danuser is head of the story and I asked that question after Shadow Rising was revealed. I’d say that trump your understanding.

NPC’s don’t exist, they can’t define themselves as anything unless their creator says they do and even then, they aren’t doing it themselves. They don’t exist. Wht they think doesn’t matter because they don’t think,

We have this thing call “suspension of disbelief”. If she doesnt exist, she isnt a void elf either because void elves are not real in the first place. Dont dare fight me with that logic.

Stop trying to demand the story conform to your personal story.

I didnt demand anything , this is the reponse given to me by a story dev himself. It is just as canon as anything else short of an outright “Danuser was wrong/this is the actual lore”.
