Danuser said whatever Danuser said.
The story says “void elf”.
NPC’s don’t exist, they can’t define themselves as anything unless their creator says they do and even then, they aren’t doing it themselves. They don’t exist. Wht they think doesn’t matter because they don’t think,
No one cares about what you RP Zerde. Stop trying to demand the story conform to your personal story.
Danuser is head of the story and I asked that question after Shadow Rising was revealed. I’d say that trump your understanding.
We have this thing call “suspension of disbelief”. If she doesnt exist, she isnt a void elf either because void elves are not real in the first place. Dont dare fight me with that logic.
I didnt demand anything , this is the reponse given to me by a story dev himself. It is just as canon as anything else short of an outright “Danuser was wrong/this is the actual lore”.
And again, Danuser said whatever Danuser said, and nothing he said contradicts what Shadows Rising states.
She is still a void elf.
You’re trying to suggest what an NPC thinks, changes what the story says.
If God says your title as a species is fish, not human, you’re a fish.
Red herring argument. It can be ignored.
You’re talking about character thoughts mattering, and they dont.
Besides the fact he made no statement about classification, you only claim he did.
Look, I’ve no interest in this discussion. It isn’t even a discussion. It is you insisting on a series of interpretations that have no relevance or basis in fact.
Alleria is a void elf.
The devs say she is a void elf.
The story says she is a void elf.
What she thinks doesnt matter.
Enjoy your RP.
And at the same time a high elf. Nothing in the story has ever said she no longer thinks herself as a high elf.
It matter in this case because it helps define the story of WoW. And in this case, it is proof you can be more than just one arbitrary thing like a void elf.
The story dev. dodged it and avoided calling her a void elf with an expalantion. That is current canon lore and nothing you do changes that.
No one cares what she thinks. She is still a void elf. THink of yourself as an octopus, you’re still a human.
No, it really doesn’t.
I am surprised you did not read this outloud to hear how silly it sounded.
The story dev made no comment about it, and thus this makes it canon that she can be a high elf, even though actual canon lore calls her a void elf.
Lol wut?
Are you really trying to make a comparison of gender identity to a racial identity? Really? We going this route?
I think its deeply concerning you would even attempt this kind of false equivalency.
OH, but FYI, just for giggles.
For a medical perspective? Male. Simply because of drug interactions at a biological level which is important to prevent harm to the patient.
Now get out.
Gender and biology are two different thing. I had little interest in dealing with you further but this is an awful position to take. People can define themselves as female/male or anything in between.
This is literally standard in a hospital.
If you are a trans individual, we go by your sex, not your gender identity.
Various drugs alter their half life in the body. This is extremely important information and what we go by in the medical field.
I don’t care if you identify as an attack helicopter while determining what medication to give you.
I care about your sex. That biological aspect is extremely important in treatment.
Apperently you dont assume and actually should ask them first if it is ok for them to give their biological gender. And even then you probably should not refer to them by their biological one.
You’re so busy trying to be argumentative you don’t even know what you are arguing against. Sorry I disagreed with you about RP and it made you so mad that you feel the need to lie about what I said.
I don’t care, you’re attempting to change the situation to suit you being right, when that is not the situation that is being discussed.
The situation is simply
I don’t appreciate this attempt to lecture me, when you have little to no idea about my background or the work I do.
Is your sex relevant when it comes to medical care? The answer is yes.
Get over the fact I disagreed with you regarding RP and latching onto random things to attack me dude. Its not cool. At all.
No it was not. The question had nothing to do about related/ to medicine but you added that to your qualifier so you wouldn’t have to accept the person was female.
“whether they should put the legal male name or the preferred female name in the patient’s medical record or on the arm band,”
Again medical records/documents do not have to use a person biological gender unless they want it. And technically they are not require to diclose to you their biological gender.
Oh and I am way pass the lore discussion. Assuming you are a medical professional it looks your not even following prescribed guidelines.(although i guess it would depend on where it happens, guidelines due vary).
This is true, just the different types of Elf are different “subspecies” rather than a separate species, or at least that’s my take on that, like a giraffe/zebra to a horse or a fox or dog to a wolf.
