Does anyone know where we can find numbers about how many gladiators there were in S1, S2, and now S3 of shadowlands? I want to see what season was hardest so far for players
Sinful is 0.4% of active players
Unchained is 0.51% of active players
Cosmic is 0.06% of active players
at least 2
Is it really that low? It’s gotta go up this month surely. Europe said we are inflated, but I think it’s only really near the top end 24-28 is a ghost land see about 3-5 teams. Almost feel like they wintrade at the top, but it’s just thye go like 50-50 and keep raising the cut-off.
(Crusader for example feeds many teams around that 28-3k mark since he lfgs with randos at times). He has 8 palis with thousands of games.
I’m pretty sure cosmic is inaccurate.
It’s almost 5k glads on NA alone, and I highly doubt that is 0.06% of the playerbase that PVPed above 1k rating
Apparently. Sinful was weird because they kneecapped MMR to compensate for the highest participation they’ve seen in years (cool mount, pvp gear being good in pve, etc) which murdered participation because nobody could climb.
Unchained they said that they wouldn’t do that again, and artificially inflated the season to insane levels where everybody was up to 400 points higher than their usual rating.
Okay, so, something happened. I remember day 1 of the season (in NA) we had a few people get super high MMR games presumably because last seasons inflation rolled over or something. Think your first placement being 3.1k after you ended last season 3.4k or something.
This was fixed either that day or the next day, but now
2.4k 3v3 NA is top 3850
2.4k 3v3 EU is top 2000
Short season and EU (for one reason or another) is dead.
Mmm, I don’t think EU is that dead. Could be wrong but Rezuz was doing things he wasn’t supposed to and was talking about how queues were instant between 22-28. Was like 2 months ago so could’ve definently dropped. EU tends to just suck it up
Eh seems somewhat accurate on Cosmic being the lowest but I believe Seraph is correct. It likely is more than .06%. Not to mention we got 2 more weeks of boosts and artificial spikes in activity.
I’m assuming of the 3800 in 2400 about 90% are Glad so at least 3500 glads pre Season ending.
I’m guessing it’ll be like .3-.4 like Sinful a bit less due to less playerbase.
In my eyes it’s been a hard season, but a good one that should be the standard for seasons in future. Fast and tough to get the drake.
2000 people above glad win cutoff with 2 weeks on the season is scuffed when EU generally has more participation, no?
I’m curious as to how you think we’ll have x7 more glads within the next 2 weeks.
Wasn’t Sinful like 10k glads in NA. I totally think people around 2300 right now could grind it out in next 2 weeks quite comfortably. adding at least double the amount we have right now.
I think the initial .06% has to be wrong with 3,000-3500 Glads already. Remember alot of people just sit the 2375 range to Grind the wins and then tank below 2400 to 2100 to stomp people.
Adel comes to mind as the guy just sits at 2100 one shotting once he gets his glad achievement.
Unsure. Seems difficult to spitball considering people can finish their wins then drop out of range.
Another nutter theory I had is that they potentially increase mmr/gains after end of season announcement to encourage pushing.
Still, this should by far be the rarest dragon so far, and as there are relatively few changes/incentives coming in s4 it could be similarly rare.
No doubt it’ll be harder than S1-2 due to activity, but def not as tough as old glad still. Unfortunately, at least this one felt like a challenge in LFG this season. Alot of very angry S2 3k players who are absolute donkeys.
I hope they wipe pvp achievements outside of “Gladiator” and Rank 1 Title for Dragonflight. Would be so good for the game.
Tired of getting cheesed by EXP people.
The vengeful and brutal drakes are nearly twice as common as cosmic.
I think that the ladder would benefit from something between gladiator and named gladiator/r1, and/or shortened seasons. Probably two per tier although I guess it depends on how long they’re doing tiers.
Ah, yeah I guess there is only 2k above 24 on EU. Kinda surprising considering that’s the region that just cries 24/7 while sucking it up through the meta and playing.
You talking about 20 year ago Vengful and Brutal? it’s mainly due to Glad title in 2s/5s.
Classic TBC glad mounts don’t actually count imo
Yeah, wild time. Prideful, deadly, furious and the other two TBC drakes, too.
Interesting, although I’m convinced there will be a surge of people pushing for the Red Drake as it actually looks decent. 2 weeks is infinite amount of time to grind 50 wins.
i have many questions virus; but one burns more than any other
can we talk about the name of your shaman on tich
This is random, but I’m searching for glad cutoffs for WOTLK S8. I remember battle groups, but I don’t remember the group I was on.
Was talking with some friends who we hit 2.2 on in 5s, and was curious how high glad was in 5s then.
Not a big deal, but I cannot find a good source for it.
Tbh i think blizzard should release the data at the end of season, along with how many guilds got CE/AOTC/KSM. I know a lot of the data is scrapable but it would be nice to see it all in one blue post to wrap up the season.
