ORIGINAL THREAD TITLE: 61 DAYS UNTIL "THEY’LL FIX IT IN 9.1"
Well this could be a good sign
Just putting this here for posterities sake.
Guaranteed in a few months we will be subjected to the same crap we heard from apologists about BFA.
EDIT: I posted this when it was 61 days to go and will update the title until launch.

And if not, I wonder if you will return to eat your crow?

Can’t wait for all the threads complaining about being denied entry to groups for being the wrong Covenant.

Trust me, with the amount of bugs in beta at the moment this game isn’t close to being ready in two months.
That’s not even touching on covenants, conduits and blizzards stubborn refusal to listen to actual feedback.

Personally I’m excited to see 9.3 when they finally fix everything. Hopefully they won’t pull an 8.3 and add something as busted as corruption.

holy heck when you put it into numbers its really around the corner xD
Then we’ll get the Legion response of “ackshully the entire expansion was good because I judge the entire expac off the last patch”.

Oh God I can’t wait for that. Hearing everyone talk about legion legendaries for the last two years as if they existed in there 7.3 state the whole expansion was amazing.

I was looking through my old screenshot folder for curiosities sake a couple days back and found this snapshot on how people actually felt about the game back then.

But Rose tinted glasses aren’t a thing are they.

Same as it ever was.
In alpha, reports of game system problems are ignored, because beta will fix them.
In beta, they’re ignored because the testing is about loading or level design. Then they’re ignored because the final numbers pass will fix them.
As the beta moves to release candidate, game system issues are ignored because players will use the systems differently than testers, and the small number of testers isn’t really representative anyway.
In release day, those issues will be ignored because the first minor patch will fix them.
After the first minor patch, they’re ignored because it’s better to wrap the issues up in the first major patch.
After that, no one uses the system anyway, so why fix it?
I posted something like this back in the WotLK beta, and I’m pleased to see it held true in every xpac since. I wasn’t even the first to say it, but I can’t recall those other people’s names.

Way people are acting these days, I’m legitimately wondering if people have found a way to get off on pure cynicism.

Oh, and the previous xpac was always better than this one. Always!
I’ll still buy this one and give it a go. Hopefully there’s some fun to be wrung from it.

Add to that all the threads where people will complain about restricted player freedoms because you cannot change specs at will thanks to the weekly conduit lockout system, and you have yourself a wombo combo.

“It’s only alpha, beta will fix it”.
“It’s only beta, they’ll fix it before it goes live.” <— We are here with Covenants.
“They’ll fix it in X.1”
“They’ll fix it in X.2” <---- Legiondaries were here.
“They’ll fix it in X.3” <---- Azerite Traits and Essences are here.
“Next expansion will fix it” <---- Corruptions are here.

I almost believe that blizzard added that week long cooldown so that people would lose focus on covenant restrictions. All so they could change the cooldown and make it look like they fixed something while not having to address the real issue.

I am so glad you said this so I dont have to. FORCING me to stay one spec for a week is basically remove of freedom from MY playtime. I HAVE TO SAY THE SAME CONDUIT FOR A WEEK! That is not fair!
I pay money and should be able to swap AT-WILL!
This is GREEDY, FORCEFULLY, JAIL-TYPE BEHAVIOR!!!
