How Many Alliance

You forgot the seal of command proc every 10 or so swings. Lets not forget what PROC stood for: Pally Rely On Chance.

No it doesn’t. If the player base is 60% horde it’s still likely that more horde players will be waiting for q to pop. This is how it was vanilla, and tbc. Shoot it’s still like that in retail.

a 20% imbalance means the queues are 20% longer for the larger side. Unlike pre-CRBG where it meant that you simply wouldn’t be able to play until your fellow realm-mates decided to quit the AV after 8 hours.

It makes a BIG difference.

It does make a difference. But the more populated side can still expect 15-20 q times.

:raising_hand_man:t5: Fo sho.

Woops. That was supposed to be a 2. Distracted typing at work is not safe.

Me and thirteen others will be playing Alliance on a PvP realm. Still deciding if I want to go human and suffer in PvP or go gnome and suffer existentially.

Warmode has been amazing for Ruin… Join the crew over at RuinNation . com

Good this is what we want!

Gnome Locks are not bad in PvP

You go Gnome for Mage and you will make Warriors utterly miserable. Which is good because by T2 they will begin to dominate otherwise.

Humans usually make good Paladins, Warriors or Rogues for PvP but Dwarf can be a good Rogue too and always go Dwarf if Priest.

Alliance racials are actually really good for PvP and they are great in PvE. It’s just that most Alliance players don’t take PvP too seriously and tend to get trounced on average as a result.

Ah, I should mention, I am playing a warrior on a PvP server with a guild of about half hardcore raiders and half dedicated PvPers. We needed a second tank, so I thought “Ah, why the hell not?” The change of pace will do me good, but I intend to PvP like a madman when I am not raiding.

Humans with the weapon skills are what you want then. The best weapons in PvE are Maces and Swords and with the Racial skill boosts you can invest points otherwise used on +Wep Skill (Edgemaster’s) on something Crit related.

Right, but gnomes have escape artist.

Escape Artist is good for the Mage (And warlock if you’re a glutton for punishment) but it won’t save your Warrior against a skilled Frost Mage. Nothing will.

Human Weapon racial however is good from lvl1 to Naxx and is one of the reasons why Alliance are strong in PvE (Where the gear comes from)

It’s all about how you engage. Warriors can win against mages, and escape artist can make that a little easier, not to mention all the other slows and snares from other classes.

People don’t play Horde for racials.

They play for Blood Elves.

Alliance will outnumber Horde once again, regardless of realm type.

Im a carebear from wayback…I dont pvp. ;>P

That’s true, and Warriors are immensely powerful in the version of Classic we will get.

Sadly, when it comes to efficiency and relative use Gnome Warriors won’t make any use of Expansive Mind and everyone who legit PvE/PvPs is going Engi (Its the best prof in Classic) if they want to play the game to the best they can. While EA can be used once a good Mage will just immediately reapply a slow (Either a Nova>CoC nuke or a R1 FBolt)

A Good Frost Mage (Who will probably be UD Horde side) will have Engi and will almost never lose to a good Warrior in a straight up fair fight.

While the Human Weapon Skill racial is just that good for melee classes (Paladins benefit from the Spirit and can go lolRet for PvP and do well enough though people who push rank will likely want to Heal)

Not trying to be argumentative, but the first time you use Escape Artist on a Mage’s Frost Nova, swing once for an attack and get immediately rooted again from a Frostbite Proc…yeah…

Amazing racial.

Yeah, it’s gonna be hard playing against my counter, but that’s something I’ll have to learn. However, I am a mage main, so that helps.

I am curious that without blood elves are we going back to the vanilla days of Alliance being overpopulated?
