I quit during WOD and haven’t bought the last 2 expacs.I literally despise ion and his development teams direction with everything.I didn’t play during vanilla,i started during BC on a friends absolute excitement about Wow and i was hooked until MOP, after that game just sucked.
I can’t wait to get onto classic the destruction of professions,flying,classes destroyed make’s me hate WOW retail and haven’t played it for age’s.As far as im concerned without even experiencing vanilla ,BC and wrath were the absolute pinnacle’s of wows success everything after is utter crap.
considering that vanilla’s leveling was not hard just time consuming, people won’t be quitting because it’s too hard. if people leave it’s because they have better things to do with their time.
I dunno. When people run into an enemy cave and then die, they don’t usually say it takes a long time. They usually complain that the game is dumb because they can’t turn their brain off like they can in retail.

I bet “retailers” will do better than I did when I started this game in 2005 - and I made it through Wrath. They are no better or worse than any of us jaded old schoolers imo
