How long will retailers last on classic?

You know I have always taken one mob at a time so don’t assume that one will be a problem.

:face_with_raised_eyebrow::face_with_hand_over_mouth::smirk:

It’s actually quite true that a lot of people who are only really used to today’s game simply can’t adjust to how different vanilla is. They’re so used to running into enemy camps that they just die immediately and don’t understand.

You’ve not really been around when mobs in the world are suddenly slightly less of a push over in new content, have you?

They will start quitting as soon as they figure out that nobody is handing them tiny slivers of Azerite every time they turn around. How are they expected to level up their necklaces??? The crystal dwarf and the planet were so nice to give me jewelry and now I cannot level my necklace. Am I expected to level my character and not my necklace? WTF???

Are you aware that you’re on the other side of the troll now?, ‘‘retail’’ trolls constantly bothering folks who liked classic and now you’re a ‘‘classic troll’’ who’s constantly bothering folks who like retail. i wonder if you’re proud of that fact.
i wonder if you think anything positive will come from behaving that way.

It’s a bit weird that they’re “trolling” retailers in the Classic forum…

Right, let me be more clear.
(I don’t care either way, i’m glad i get to play classic again)
For years ‘‘retailers’’ would insult folks who wanted classic
Now we have people here doing the same thing towards retailers
I find the you were mean to me so i should be mean to you mentality to be …immature.

One joke is considered constantly bothering folks?

Besides, the necklace thing is something everyone can laugh at. Because a crystal dwarf told you that the planet wanted to give you jewelry.

It is more a comment on what retail players were given this expansion and not to insult the players

So, that’s a no you don’t care.
As long as you know you’re doing it.

Crap, another label.
Casuals are bad, mhhhk?
Now retailers are bad too.

Oh, it definitely is. We just still get retailers in here on occasion telling us how we’ll quit within a week or how it’s going to be awful, or asking for ridiculous changes so it’ll appeal to them. So I don’t really judge anyone who fires back.

Retailers and tourists are going to be the modern insults in classic.
joining things like carebears, scrubs, nubs etc etc

I’m not offended, i’ve just noticed the trend and wanted to point it out.

Both versions of WoW are retail.

Now that that peeve of mine is out of the way; it depends on the goals and expectations.

I’m setting initial expectations for myself low, and goals within the realm of my time budget. That way I don’t get frustrated and burnt out. My goals being profession-related means I’ll be doing a lot of grinding during leveling, and I am no stranger to grinding.

Modern WoW isn’t that grindy, but there are other games I have played for years that make vanilla WoW grinds look pitiful.

It’s funny I made a new mage on retail the other day after subbing for a chance at Beta just to see how easy it actually is for a new character these days. After loading up on heirlooms I blasted through 10 levels in 45 minutes and didn’t have to sit to drink even once. It’s so silly to have brand new characters still feel like all-powerful demigods amongst measly mortal kobolds and orcs.

I think anyone used to that system who enjoys it couldn’t get past level 5-6 let alone 10 or further. They’d lose interest after the first hour because they spent half of it sitting and drinking and a quarter of it running for their life (or dying) to pulling too many mobs at once.

Most of them won’t even last 10 mins. It will be hilarious to watch people encounter hostile mobs in the starting zones for the first time, accidentally pull 5 of them at once, then die a horrible death. The human starting zone was exceptionally entertaining to watch as people would try fighting 1 of the defias mobs at a time, only to realize that they run away in fear at low health and pull more mobs.

Most people i’ve seen don’t ‘‘like’’ leveling those that do wish it were '‘harder’'or longer obviously with ‘‘millions’’ of players it’s going to be impossible to find a consensus but i know very few people who actually like the way retail leveling works.
I like that i can do w/e zone i want now, but if I had any say in the matter i’d make it so we had a more full toolkit at 10 as apposed to…one skill at least then it’d be more akin to cap and more ‘‘fun’’

Several times…

it’s okay grudio!
everybody’s pickin’ at everybody cause we’re all bored.

dont worry be happy

I’m good, i was angry yesterday when all the streamer :poop: hit, i’ve since taken my meds and am far more chill lol
