This is really the thing right here. That and mob availability if layering isnt in heavy effect. Though at least Nagrand and Netherstorm are incredibly efficient and probably worth hopping out to do as long as the pvp/scarcity effect doesnt slow you down a ton.
Well we all need revered with all reps for keys.
So do blood furnace till honored then move.
Do the zangar dungeons till honored then move.
Do auchidon till honored then move.
Get to 68, go start kara attunements and arcatraz key and do 1 old hillsbrad.
Spam the 70 dungeons to get revered and hit 70.
Finish kara attunement and arcatraz key.
7 hours/level sounds about right.
You will not get 70 in a week playing 3-4 hours a night.
In the end it really doesnt make a big difference whether you do the dungeons then the quests at 70 or do the quests then the dungeons at 70 other than you’ll get more gold from doing the quests last. Most of the really difficult reps IE COT/Shatar dont have quests anyway and COT at least isn’t really a dungeon you want to run until you’re level 70 or pretty close anyway
For someone focusing on leveling and not gathering/leveling professions I agree thats about right.
It wasn’t short.
Well I think it’s best to dungeon, as that can only get you honored for the starting dungeons.
Doing the dungeons to 70 will get you revered and levels.
Also quests aren’t capped on rep, they can be used till exalted.
You can get rep in Sv/Sl etc all the way up and honored is super easy to get really for HH/CE and Lower City because you can do the armaments/marks turn-ins to honored to fill in any rep you’re missing
Quest rep isnt capped but you may outlevel some of them
Yeah you will definitely out level some of them.
I don’t mind spamming the dungeons cuz I need exalted anyway and I need my pre bis.
Just doing dungeons checks a lot of boxes off at once
Oh yea, its definitely not wrong. But you’re not really losing anything by doing it the other way either
Yeah no way. Not even close, whatever nonsense was on that p-server does not align with how the game actually went.
4-6 hours a level is an easy average, with the last level or two being the longest not necessarily because they’re that much more inflated but because the quests at the end of Nagrand/Blade’s Edge, and half the quests in Netherstorm/Shadowmoon Valley are just longer, group oriented, and more difficult generally.
Not even close.
You don’t need Heroics for Karazhan attunement. The key parts can all be acquired on normal mode.
Correct you need the level 70 dungeons.
Which you do the stuff at 68 that gets you into the dungeons.
You also need Arcatraz, which is why you start the key at 68.
You also need Black Morass at the end of it which is why you do 1 old hillsbrad at 68.
More like half the time. It’s long, but nowhere near as long.
Initially? Took awhile because you didn’t have much means to quest help right away. But once you knew where things are and online info, it ended up to be shorter and faster.
ill be 70 within 24 hours.
That’s where I wanna be haha.
I hope my dungeon team pumps!
I’m not in a hurry. I have 2 toons that I’ll level for sure. A warrior and a warlock are on standby. Raiding probably won’t be much of an option for me, either… so my endgame will be a bit limited (probably casual PvP, heroics, etc.)
I’m going to do shaman in prepatch.
My main for tbc will be a hunter.
My gdkp toon will be the resto shaman.
My arena toon will be this mage.
I’m so glad no arena in phase 1, so I don’t need to rush the mage.
Ret will be my main (I’ll also go prot for PvE, especially if they have dual spec.) My feral druid is a primary alt.
