How long is 60-70?

I can’t seem to recall how long it was to level.

I read some people saying here that it took 40 hours that just seems long to me that’s 4 hours a level.

That seems long, unless I’m just remembering wrong.

My recollection is that it took me about two weeks, perhaps a little more. And I was going pretty hard at it 10+ hours a day.

It absolutely wasn’t four hours a level, or 40 hours, or I’d have banged it out in less than 1 week.

Maybe if you cheesed it or did a lot of group content. I did it solo, just completing all the quests in every zone (and I recall still having to grind half of 68 and all of 69 because there just weren’t enough quests.)

I remember it taking a couple weeks, however I was also going in blind the first time.

Yea idk 4 hours a level seems much longer than I recall.

I recently did it on pserver with double xp and it took quite a while. With standard XP rates, depending on the player, you’re probably looking at 3-5 days /played so 60-100 hours. If you know the routes really well it could get down to the 40 hour range, but I think the average player will take much longer.

That’s like 7 hours a level.

Yeah, it is. 60-70 is a grind. Not as much as 1-60, but it’s definitely the the most time consuming level cap raise of any of the expansions.

I told y’all 60-70 was close to the amount of time as 1-60

Casual play, 3 to 4 hrs a night, you can do it in roughly a week.

I remember when I leveled my paladin in OG burning crusade I was able to do around a Level a day playing for around 3-4 hours per play session after school. This was before leveling guides, I took my time, and didn’t know my class very well.

The biggest concern I’d have for leveling speed is getting out of Hellfire Peninsula. The starting quest items/mobs there will be heavily contested, (and probably a warzone if you’re on a pvp realm), so it could take a long time to go from 60-62 depending on your server the first few weeks after launch.

Just looked up an old guide, and by questing alone, after 67 you’re more or less clearing a full zone to get a level.

60-61 Hellfire
61-63 Zangarmarsh
63-65 Terokkar Forest
65-67 Nagrand
67-68 Blade’s Edge
68-69 Netherstorm
69-70 Shadowmoon

There will for sure be a lot of dungeon spamming to level faster, but in the end you need to do lots of these quests for items/rep. I’d say your 40 hour estimate is on the fast end of the spectrum for leveling 60-70.

This. People are definitely underestimating how long it’s going to take. 6.5 million exp 60-70. At 150k an hour, which is 5 capping a 33k/run dungeon consistently… thats still 41 hours /played, and thats really unrealistically fast.

The record was something like 28 hours but before people point to that… That guy literally had an entire 40 person raid dedicated to kill-tagging mobs for him and he spent weeks going over the route

40 hours is insanely fast. I don’t think that is possible without doing something like mob tagging. I think 70-100 hours will be more typical.

Going in at 58-60 is stupid fast, though it slows down drastically once you hit 60. It is slow, but doesn’t seem to bad because TBC levelling was actually enjoyable.

I’ve leveled to 70 on a x1 private server and it did not take 100 hours to go from 58-70 lol. I was playing a Warrior too. It was probably around 40-60 hours, including time I spent afk.

Yeah like 4 hours a level just doesn’t seem to make sense to me.

But like I said I could just be remembering wrong

Wtb 70 boost LOL.

I actually really enjoyed how long 60-70 took. I was able to explore and do all the quests in all the new zones, and it felt like an accomplishment to hit 70.

Contrast that with my experience coming back at BFA launch, rolling a new toon, and out leveling every subsequent expansion’s content in the first zone. So many amazing zones I’ve never even seen from Wrath through Legion. I didn’t even get to appreciate the work that went into designing those!

Questings not the way to do it. Get full naxx gear, reck dungeons. It won’t take that long. MOST people who want to be will be 70 by mid week 2 or sooner.

Yea I have a premade dungeon group.

Hitting 70 is one thing but I feel like questing is bad as you need the reps anyway, so might as well sit in dungeons the whole time.

I’m going hunter first so I need exalted with honor hold for the gun and revered with everything else for the heroic keys along with farming my dungeon set.

I wanted to hit 70 asap, and dungeons seem to be fastest method. Can also ignore the pvp there.
