Hi i got banned recently and im wondering how long it might take for an appeal. Not going to talk about the ban I just wanted to know how long it would likely take if anyone has done this before.
It just depends on the state of the queues when you submit your appeal. I believe right now it is a few days but I’m sure someone will have better info.
Was it an actual account ban or just a suspension?
1 perma ban and 1 14 day suspension, i have 5 wow accs on 1 bnet. They all do the same thing but 2 were targeted with ban
6 days last time vrak said.
do u get extra game time if the apeal is successful?
Likely not, I haven’t heard of anything of the sort happening.
Something to ask for if the appeal overturns the account action/s. Blizzard has compensated false-positive account action overturning before.
If the penalty is overturned, you can then submit a ticket asking to be compensated for the lost days.
This is a horribly bad forum to troll hon. There is no AI or outsourced support.
That character has been trolling all over the forums lately.
It’s like they’re begging for a forum ban.
Yeah especially on the Area52 forum as well.
There is zero reason for any of the MVPs or any of the regulars to lie here. There is nothing to gain for us lying.
You seem to believe something that isn’t true and have a hard time accepting that.
Edit:
It sounds like you would like to make a suggestion. You could either make a in game suggestion or post in the general forums. Where this suggestion could make it to the correct people. The blues that come here are SFAs and are not game devs and do not have any control of the changes you wish to see.
This is one of the most moderated forums. Spreading misinformation is a sure way to lose posting abilities.
You are free to believe whatever you want of course. Just that others are free to say you are wrong, which you are in this case.
Authenticators are sensitive security data and if you can’t provide the information they need, they can’t be sure it’s really you. It’s hard telling what happened in your particular situation but changing personal info isn’t exactly a quick fix when it’s tied to your login information.
Happy to do my job, Thansedaar - you probably should have listened to folks warnings.
Certainly our personal experiences with the GMs vary. In my years of playing roughly 18 off and on. I have had numerous encounters with GMs as well.
I have had multiple account compromised situations in the early years before Blizz started selling the authenticator key fob. A few encounters of a GM in the wild helping with personal issues.
A few times I’ve even had a GM help me remove a authenticator from my account due to issues with my device not working appropriately. And that was relatively recently.
Now I admit, the last time I removed a authenticator. It had taken a little longer than I was hoping for, by a day or so. But that was because I replied to the ticket and not reopening the ticket as I should have. Entirely my fault.
So… Does that mean because you had a few bad experiences it cancels out all the amazing experiences I have had?
Pardon for that interruption, Alchemistan.
This was already upheld, but I see you have two more appeals open.
Currently that queue is in fairly good shape, less than 2 days. Your current appeals are less than half a day old so it will still be a bit.
Is there a way to appeal a suspension that occurred ages ago (and that I am almost positive was thoroughly erroneous but didn’t have the knowledge to appeal correctly at the time) for the purposes of maintaining an unmarred account? Or is that even worth worrying about?
LIke I honestly don’t even know if I should ask this question, but I am curious, so I sincerely hope asking this isn’t doing something wrong
There only has been one way to appeal a silence, suspension or ban, by ticket. You could put in a new ticket, but most likely it will again be upheld.
Do they usually tell you what the offense was at least?
You should have received a email with appeal instructions, but if it is a really old ban, they may or may not have the details. Depending on what caused it, it might have been generalized.
