I put in a request to Join a guild and it has been 2 or more weeks with no response and the request still active. A couple of days ago I cancelled the request and it shows in my Pending List as Cancelled but the Pending Tab shows 1 pending. I made a couple of guild requests since then but they do not show up in my Pending List.
Will other Guilds I request to join see my request? How do I clear the cancelled one?

It shouldnt matter other guilds shouldnt have any way of seeing whobu applied to.

Thanks but that isn’t my concern. My concern is that WOW only shows a cancelled request as pending and no sign that my other requests to join have been made.
On re-reading I see my causing a little confusion. When I said “Will other Guilds I request to join see my request?” I should have said “Will other Guilds I request to join see my request to join their guild?”
It is just weird to see this pending/cancelled request.

You could reach out to the guild.and have them either declinenor acept it and see if it fixes it.
Would be my first recommendation as well. Not sure about how this works on the backend at all, and it is not something WE can see.

Thanks. Tread emailing but got a recipient does not exist. Look up username and several came up in the search so trying to contact them seems useless. Blizz may not be able to see it but they should have been able to make the request disappear from my Pending List once I had clicked on Cancel. Very awkward interface.
Thats not something there gona do u will probably have to message everyone in the guild thats online.
See my quote above. At this point this is my main concern. Cannot find any of the guild members (not a very large guild). Just want to make sure that other Requests to Join will make it to the other guilds.
You can stop in any major town/trade chat location. There’s almost always guilds advertising.
Just try to join one and see if the invite goes through or not. If you don’t get accepted or denied right away you can whisper the person to see if they got it or not.
Edit. You can always thank them for their time and that you were a testing something before you leave. Or stay. Maybe it’s an awesome guild.

You can test this with another player or guild. Send an invite to a guild of a player you know (alt, bank, etc). If the invite shows up, you know they are going through.
Keep in mind that once you put a Guild up for recruitment, it is very easy to forget that it is up and it is also not easy to see who is requesting. You have to remember to look in a place that is not super obvious, and even though it does have an indicator, that indicator is not easy to see.

Could this be a ui issue not being able to cancel a request.
Well the request is marked cancelled but still counts as a pending. BUT something WEIRD happened. I tried again to request to join a Guild and that request is showing in the interface and now it says “2 pending” (the one I cancelled and the one I just requested) and both show on the display. Wasn’t acting that way yesterday - any new requests just seemed to g into the ether. Interesting.
So looks like something solved it between yesterday and toay.
