Deathwing sacked Stormwind and stole her head, revived his son Nefarian, and gave it to him to revive her

Blizzard loves bringing old dead characters back to life. This is why deaths really don’t mean anything anymore. If they want to use a character, they’ll use it, dead or not.
There’s kinda like no relevance there whatsoever.
If you mean me (despite never actually reaching 10k), the sub hasn’t expired yet. There was no “resurrection,” and there won’t be after it expires.

The opening cinematic doesn’t exactly make it look like Deathwing walked around picking up the pieces of Onyxia.
The original cinematic also has him fly out of a snowy mountain compared to the maelstrom, and teleport from darkshore to elvynn forest/SW, also considering his size I’m actually suprized the only damage to SW he managed to do was destroy the barracks and two towers front of SW gates, with actual logic his body would of crushed the whole of trade district.

Blizzard’s writing. Also she risen like DK’s and Forsaken. You’ve seen how Forsaken and Scourge make Undead abominables.
Stitch her head back onto her body and little bit Necromancy.
Deathwing and Nefarian is the same person.
