How is multiboxing not exploitation of the game?

It  utilizes  an external  program  to emulate  key presses.
Bottom line.
A lot of people use the excuse that it’s not automation (laughable btw) to justify their multiboxing. Even if that were true, the game’s ToS clearly states that you cannot use an external program to play WoW through. This means no external macro software or keypress emulation. So if Blizzard stands by their terms of service for other issues, the same should be done while handling multiboxers. 1 keypress per instance of WoW.exe = 1 action per instance of WoW.exe.

Should be one key press, one action, and per client

Sorry, even blizzard says its not. Its the official response from them. Keep on making useless posts about it, like its really going to change their mind.

I multibox and use no software at all to do it!

Technically because as far as computers are concerned it is recorded as multiple key presses I imagine.
Oh! And most importantly, the player is forced to pay many $$ to Blizzard.

On a side note, if only one part of the 2010’s were to stay here, I hope it’s the clap meme.

Did a multi-boxer touch you in the bad place in warmode? I struggle seeing why what some super small percentage of the players do matters if Blizzard doesn’t care (and they don’t care.)
If somebody wants to pay 5x what I do so they run around the world with 5 characters instead of one, I don’t care.

I ran into a multiboxer once in a battleground. Their characters died just like everybody else’s did.

If you read their TOS regarding WoW you would notice that cross faction chatting is against TOS and so is data mining but its actively allowed and encouraged it seems.

It was in the TOS about 9 months ago, not sure about now though…

Edit Oh look i found it:

Data Mining: Use any unauthorized process or software that intercepts, collects, reads, or “mines” information generated or stored by the Platform; provided, however, that Blizzard may, at its sole and absolute discretion, allow the use of certain third-party user interfaces.

I can’t find the cross faction chat one, it may have been changed.

My personal anecdote should be the reality for everyone else

I have two accounts that I almost always play together. I do not use a third party at all. I switch between instances of WOW (both are up and playing at the same time), and typically have one character who is doing the main spell casting and alternate spells with the character who is following the main character. You do not have to use a third party at all to multibox (like I do).

You aren’t the typical multiboxer.

Your really driving your point home. Low tier bait at best.

Says the person getting upset about .1% of the player base. Its not like Blizzard has gone on record in support of multiboxing and the third party tools used; but hey lets just make thread after thread about it.
