How is it Blizz's fault that people aren't playing?

Everyone complaining that the merged servers are dead.

How is that Blizz’s fault? If people aren’t playing WoW except for a few hours every Tuesday night, how is the crippling ADHD of the modern gamer Blizz’s fault?

Please pass the egg salad.

Dead? Maybe it’s just me but I log in every single day and see so many people playing.

In time forced server changes. Some like non mega life. Atiesh was never massive in population, but it was liked. Fires up John Mellancamp…song about being small town. Nice song too.

and a hosed migration. Its had many issues. some who never were MoP or Death players…could be going I have steam games to play. they could come back. when its not daily issue found here. I am there.

Removed LFR. Casuals liked it. Its not “logged” beyond armoury in retail forum. But the fact its popular imo doesn’t need raiderio stats to back that up.

Its replacement is…spam dungeon. Also not logged. That doesn’t come till mythic dungeon and raiderio tracks that. also…once spammed it gets done in time. Casuals may be hitting the dungeon, getting gear and sayiing…

umm yeah…like we said a few times, we just don’t like dealing with the normal higher side crap. thanks for dungeon gear, we are done.

See in retail even M0 gear is not setup to replace LFR. You go run that M0 AND…the LFR. Its not till M10 this replaces that.

And like said, we have raiderio to give stats to show how many spam m10+. when retail is feeling light on numbers, raiderio is there to say oh…I found your people. M10+. Heroic boss 5 is a pita. Dudes are getting 8’s done to fix that lol.

Everyone is prepping for Legion Remix. MOP will be a side game for at least 1.5-2 months. It’s going to get way worse than it is currently.

Some classic people have odd ego’s.

This should be smashing anniv to oblivion. and a retail killer. Players like what they like. I didn’t have MoP separation home sickness.

Before the switch to chromie leveling…I took the MOP option over cata for its retail leveling of 10. I’ve run many TW weeks there later retail setup. hell I ran some remix too.

In hindsight, the only reason MoP was successful was the momentum carried over from Era → TBC. People were hoping for a revival after Cata and they kind of got it, but not really. Without that momentum, the warts of the expansion (the frigging amount of running you have to do. each zone is the size of the prior expansions territories) were apparent and people quit, like me.

That’s what I thought.

We are all on like 3 servers.

My server prolly has 40k people on it lmao

There could only be 40k people playing mop and it feels packed because of the mega servers.

Retail-killer? ha!!

andies were funny here.

While retail lost its lustre with me in a few areas…some of its supporting qol stuff was nice. 2019 to now got better as that came in.

NGL, I didn’t care more fully till even tbcc. era as is? I don’t see what some the more devoted see.

Some go why play then. tbc…you needed (need for anniv) part 1 to play part 2 and later parts.

Its like my SP games. I cannot love the first even 10 hours of the game. they are run to hit 20+ hour parts that are liked.

The core issue with Mists of Pandaria today is the loss of individual server communities. Originally, each server had its own unique culture and player base, which was part of what made the game feel alive and meaningful. The mega server merge effectively destroyed those long standing communities. Bringing in players from other servers has led to unnecessary drama ironically, the kind of real life conflict many of us play games to escape from.
Blizzard’s decision to implement mega servers removed that sense of belonging, and it’s clear their focus is more on profit than player experience. A lot needs to be fixed to bring MoP back to its former glory, but Blizzard has shown time and again that player feedback doesn’t hold much weight with them.
Instead of forcing everyone into a mega server, they could have merged only low population servers or run server wide polls to see what the communities actually wanted. But we’re dealing with a company that increasingly operates like a cheap, careless corporation rather than a team that values its players.
They can’t even handle basic things like copying and pasting code without issues. The development process lacks care, and the automated AI ticket system is just another layer of disconnect. Players deserve real responses, not generic auto replies.
Blizzard seriously needs to evaluate their development practices and start treating their community with the respect and attention it deserves.

idk who wants to play legion that xpac sucked as well as wod and all that followed behind it

All the people waiting around goldshire last night … dueling at 3am on retail was insane. They were all talking about what they were going to play on legion remix.

It was a very well received expansion. Most people know this.

I think a lot of “people not playing” right now is also its just kind of a time in the phase. If you are into raiding heavy you probably are just raid logging. If you are heavy into instanced PVP you probably just show up to arena/rbg/bg and log if its not popping or your people aren’t on. The “x.5” patch we are in right now offers a daily hub that really isn’t all that impactful. Maybe I am not reading this right. Who knows. Just seems to be how it has been for a long time now.

I have a 490 ilvl DK Sitting in SW waiting for LFG raids every day for 2 weeks, today was my last GG MOP is Dead

Other than the grind for artifact power, Legion was my favorite modern expansion.
