That seems like a lot of work… People are just selling things for under vendor price in a lot of cases. Save yourself work, just buy them and sell them without all the fiddling in between.
It isn’t a secret. Just like cooking raw meat increases its value to the vendor.
Players were doing this 15 years ago. I know I did. Vendoring or AH raw mats almost never (sorry engineering) made as good returns as making something with them.
About the only exception were rare spawns of rare mats (black lotus, seasonal fish) and gems from mining nodes.
Even gems are a distorted market. I won a bunch of Shadowgems on bid for less than vendor value.
The mount fund consumes all
On my server, silk cloth costs 2.5 silver (or higher) in the AH.
So much for this idea…
this is a good one but can only last so long as ah price remains below the cost of flip
but there will be opportunities like this all over the place
just find a few places and milk it
the op’s sentiment is something i kind of stumbled on as well
in order to use ah to squeeze a profit from these meagre beginnings on lowbie mats
but this is what it is like when everyone starts with 0
readjusting our playstyle on this brand new economy
Stackof silk on my server is 60s average.
Assuming what OP says is true, this tactic is proof of an axiom Barnum observed in humankind but was not the first to do so, just the most eloquent.
