I doubt people where selling silk less then 2s per. This post was on reddit im calling BS. Yes there are things like this in the game that you can do, just like retail, ( alchemy garrison vendor neck) Fishing and cooking will be the the same in classic its not hard to figure out. YOU ALL HAVE CALACULATORS ON YOUR PHONES DONT YOU!

Silk vendors for 30s a stack. There’s no way enough people are selling them for 10s a stack.
Let’s say they were, to make 120g profit you’d need to buy 40g worth. That’s 400 stacks. That’s over 5 inventories full with all 14 slot bags
On my server, there are a ton of auctions for all kinds of mats that are way under the vendor price. People are spending far more to post the auctions than they make even when the auctions sell. I don’t know if it’s stupidity or what.

Doubt it, the supply of silk is ultra high because the bell curve is like level 25-35 right now.
Everyone is undercutting the undercutters, who are undercutting the undercutters ad infitium.
Add to that unconfigured Auctioneer simple pricing and you have a situation where people are consistently doing insanely idiotic things like selling below vendor price, and its not just for silk.

This method works well with bag making as well pretty much whatever you choose will stand to make a good 2-3s flip with the right purchases
I don’t think minor wizard oil exists in classic yet. It was added in a later patch. There has however been plenty of times when lesser essence was selling below wand vendor price on my server.

The base of Classic is, for all intents and purposes, the last patch of vanilla-- 1.12. The only patch that came after that was 1.12.1 which was a bug fix patch.
IOW, Minor Wizard Oil is in the game right now.
I mean according to wowhead it isn’t, according to the enchanting vendor I’m standing next to it isn’t, but maybe the recipe just hasn’t spawned yet in the 2 weeks classic has been live.
According to the comments in the original release of Vanilla, the recipe arrived in stage 5. We are currently at stage 1 in Classic.
So you can expect this recipe to be available when the AQ war effort opens.
Oh, you were using “patch” as in vanilla WoW patches interchangably with the with the phases they’re doing in Classic.
Yeah, it’s in the game, but it won’t be unlocked until Phase 5.

IOW, it’s not in the game right now. There are plenty of other profitable vendor arbitrage opportunities though. I’ve been making a profit vendoring lesser magic wands.
This is how I was able to make my gold. I wasn’t buying the silk off the AH, but I was turning everything I found into bandages and selling the stacks. At least on my server, players are posting silk stacks for only a 4-5s profit. It was easier(and more profitable) to just bandage mine and sell it, since I wouldn’t make any real money from auctioning.
I’m sure things will change in the coming weeks after more players get their mounts.

There was no “Stage 5” in the original release of vanilla. Write with a little more precision and you can avoid confusion.
You made 30 stacks of bandages and only got 30s? The time to money ratio there is pretty bad.
