Not sure how such an obvious win for them and the community can’t be made. WRA SW has the total pop of 5 people, why not phase those poor souls onto to MG? All rp servers should just be jumbled together. The only reason why I can’t see them doing it is because of the $25+ dollars they’d get per person by swapping to mg.
Also how hasn’t trp been implemented into the game itself yet? Blizzard sure does love its rp community…
I wouldn’t want to blend servers. Even though the Alliance side is super small here, I’ve seen it as a little more tight than some of the Horde RP here.
BTW, I was on MG for a minute last night because 2 friends over there wanted to group to level. It’s a lagfest. I was kind of shocked.
Also, if you don’t like crowds, MG-A is NOT for you. It was like anxiety central in SW. I’m good with crowds and even I felt uneasy. There was almost nowhere to stand that someone wasn’t jumping in your face, running through, popping a toy, talking OOC in /say, or blocking doorways to things. Two different guilds had banners up in doorways in Dwarven District for what looked like no good reason.
I’m happy to keep building RP over here, where you don’t have to fight crowds to get to the trading post or the AH.
I’ll be honest - I get that the Venn diagram of Wyrmrest and Moon Guard players is basically a circle, but Moon Guard’s server culture has a weird vibe that I’m really not a fan of, and I don’t say that as code for ‘they ERP over there’ or anything like that. If I were forced to hang out over there, I’d probably just stop RPing.
I don’t want corporations to have any more control over my creative pursuits than they already do. I would so much rather have to download an addon that’s made by and for the community than have something stock that a bunch of nimrods with job titles like Executive Producing Director of Brand Cohesion And Marketing can mess around with.
Blizzard can’t stop their bigger servers lagging the moment a bunch of figglegucks all zerg a quest objective like Time Rifts or Fire Invasions, you think they could handle trying to squeeze the behemoths that are Moon Guard and Wyrmrest Accord together and not have their server hubs melt down into silicone and plastic slag?
Besides, Moon Guard does ‘everything that we do is server canon’ and Wyrmrest Accord does ‘nothing is canon, do whatever but harm none’. It would be like oil and water.
Can you imagine the Cask’n’Anvil and Lok’tar Borgar trying to function when you’ve got a score or more of Moonies screaming at the Wyrmies that this breaks server canon, or folks trying to RP out in the wilds and the non-capital towns and getting slapped with ‘guild claims’ and that they can’t RP in those zones while these players are online? You’d kill RP faster than anything with that kind of nonsense.
Hi! Thank you for stopping by the WrA server forums level 19! I do appreciate your concern for how quiet we are in Stormwind. But most of us Alliance pals are so sick of hearing about MG’s Stormwind, that walking into our OWN Stormwind makes us sick. If you would like to be productive with your worry about us. Please help make our Stormwind Active again by nurturing community, roleplaying, or hosting events there. Cannot wait to see you there!
