I think both of you are trying to reach a similar point and hit a disconnect along the way.
This is a good thing for the lower end of the scale in terms of playerbase skill. Assuming you can get people to use it, that is.

Me too. Even with the GCD being 0 penalty, the rotation is set in stone, the only ability to change it is how fast you press the button.
ROFL you arenāt showing your bonafides either, so no one here has anything to go on but your word.
Which, isnāt much. Especially when you are here trying to claim the actual difficult part of raiding is knowing your mechanic. Pretty sure bosses like Painsmith back in the day, etc would say different.
Yes it might get a few people into LFR and normal and help a few through T11 delves.
People are wanting if not outright expecting it to be a āPass Go, collect AotC for freeā card. Which it wonāt be.
Because knowing to press your keybinds is difficultā¦that is what practice is for. Not everyone can REACH multiple buttons with one of both hands, which is part of the single button rotation being useful.
Show where people are saying that.
It clearly is for people that need a one button rotation.
I believe the issue is if (complete in theory, never actually possible) the rotation was completely optimal or even close, it would be objectively better to use it to avoid inconsistency. I dont think this is an actual scenario that can occur, but since its designed for world content and delves its not going to matter. I think its to assuage peoples fears of it happening.
Yeah you didnāt bother to read the rest of my response did you, huh mythic raider?
No wonder you think rotations are difficult if you only read half of what is there.
There was a thread saying it would invalidate pvp. Its trolling, but there are people saying that kind of nonsense.
Iām not sure why this part is going over so many peopleās heads.
Ive never seen anyone who wasnt being sarcastic word it that way.
āpeople with disabilitiesā would have been benignā¦no way to confuse it.
Had you said āpeople with disability claimsāā¦meaning just that, theyve filed official claims with the SSA, etcā¦that would have been fine too.
but overall your comment feels like a jab both at those who find an 8 key rotation complex and those who claim to be disabled.
I can fully understand why Dreaj took it the way he did.
FOTW outrage.
I think this is more of an exaggeration being made by people to try to raise alarm about it. Most people are probably aware that that will not happen, lol.
This doesnāt make any sense since PVP is so situational, way and above what PVE is. There is no way a specific cycle of abilities would beat a skilled pvp player using his full toolkitā¦Definitely would be trolling. Thing is, even in raiding the auto roation wouldnāt beat someone using their full toolkitā¦
Regardless of how we feel about it allā¦currently Ion seems to think its for accessibility and pretty much casual level playā¦

I dont know what to think, personally, as I said above somewhere, I think it was this thread.
But Ion indicates it for accessbility and those who dont want to learn their class and mentions specifically it not being for a DPS check for raidersā¦which indicates that, at least currently, hes not seeing it as a raiding or M+ tool.
I 100% agree. There are no scenarios where it will be the better (meaning optimal, highest dps) way to play.
I donāt see the need for the penalty for no other reason than there is no world where it would be the optimal choice anyway besides the simplest fire and forget specs. It existing to prevent the slim change those instances are better, sure. I wouldnt have a problem with it removed at all.
Yep. Even with the GCD penalty removed, it is still limited. That limitation doesnāt have to be set to terrible as people are wanting. There will still need to be skill in movement, avoiding mechanics, and CDs with it. This is not a press 1 and win button they are trying to pretend it is.
which indicates that, at least currently, hes not seeing it as a raiding or M+ tool
Yes and this is essentially all that Iāve said lol. Itās intended to be a set of training wheels that one can either settle into appropriate content and always use or they can take it off and graduate to riding a real bike.
Regardless of how people feel about it that is currently what it is being billed as.
The way blizzard sells something and the way they implement it are often different so I understand a bit of healthy skepticism, but I just cannot see a world where this overtakes manually piloting a character in anything outside of content where personal throughput matters.
