2450 MMV… 1730 CR… How does blizzard decide where you get placed? I keep getting placed with people 2000+ rating and just get walked on.
A convoluted and usually fried algorithm.
That I think they changed to prioritize speed over quality so it puts healers that realistically should never be in your game in there for the sake of speed.

MMR is the rating at which the game is trying to place you based off your current wins and losses relative to the MMR of the teams you either or won or lost against. The aim of MMR at first is to find the best ‘bracket’ to stick you in and it move rapidly at the start. So if you keep winning, you might find yourself at 3k even. During this time your CR is slowing growing and the game is trying to get the two to match. If your MMR is substantially higher than your CR, you likely won’t lose anything for a loss. By contrast, if your CR is substantially higher than your MMR, you might gain nothing for a win.
In the end, the game is just trying to find that sweet spot where you’re winning and losing at the same rate (50/50). If you deviate from that, say you lose 3 matches in a row, your MMR will tank and the game thinks you’re placed to high. The system isn’t working very well in Blitz and unfortunately needs to tightened up some.

MMR is more malleable initially.
Win a few games in a row and number go up.
