How does it come the Horde gets all the bad story?

I sense a pattern here.

  • first we get defeated in Bfa and the Zandalari are forced into peace by the Horde council.
  • Rastakhan dies to make way for his feminist token mary sue daughter.
  • Whenever Blizzard wants to raise the stakes they kill some Horde lore characters.
  • Thrall and Baine in Shadowlands were utterly useless. All the meat of the story went to Anduin and Tyrande.
  • Vol’jin is coming back despite nobody wants him and Rezan being a far more interesting character.
  • Dragonflight. Once again Baine is useless and Bovan dies.
  • Still Dragonflight. They proped up two blood elves who get killed in the very first questline they get introduced in. See point 3.
  • Legion. Horde might not exist in this plot outside of Sylvanas trying to get the Val’kyr.
  • WoD. Instead of teaming up with the Iron Horde we aid the alliance to kill all the legendary Orc heroes of the past for another time. Now Yrel rules Draenor and the Mag’har are refugees.
  • Shadowlands again. Sylvanas gets sent to super hell for community service and Garrosh is turned to soul ash. Two icons of the Horde story gone forever.
  • the Orc heritage questline is by far the worst of them all. They gather a bunch of forgettable Orc NPCs nobody cares about and try to make them look like a big deal. The nod towards Grommash and Doomhammer is insulting at best.

So that is it. An awful story that rather looks like a patchwork than an actual coherent story. Did I miss something?

The Horde are the antagonists in a two protagonist story

It shouldn’t be that way. See Swtor. You can be the bad guy and still the hero of your own story.

Speak for yourself.

Because a lot of them were jackwagons.

Because they were jackwagons.

Overwhelmingly well received questline is somehow bad, lol.

Gonna let you in on a little something. You’d never be welcome in the “true Horde.” They’d probably eat you. Belves were only welcome in Thrall’s Horde. And both Sylvanas and Garrosh tried to use us as fodder. And it wasn’t some exception in how they were depicted. Both became increasingly unhinged over the years.

Imagine coming out as a troll this early into a post.

Pot meets kettle. I am very certain I speak for the majority of the Horde community.

Because they are legends who would have wiped the floor with the alliance if the playable Horde wasn’t a bunch of traitors.

Two icons who brought the alliance to it’s knees and were only defeated due to reason of point number 2.

It is bad indeed. You don’t get to sell one time quest NPCs as important Orc lore characters ever.

Karma? The Alliance does a better job keeping their streets clean.

I never said I spoke for them so this statement makes no sense. You don’t speak for anyone but yourself.

And they’d have done the same with you.

Two psychos who tried to ruin the Horde. One who is responsible for us now having the stupid council.

It’s got nothing but good reception everywhere but from you.

I see someone never did the Worgen HA quest. You know the one where we are insulted and told how bad it is to be a Worgen and how it would be better to be human.

What’s wrong with the council? I missed that part of the story

It’s not present, not effectual and didn’t have to happen. Sylvanas just needed kicked out. And they need to stop appointing psychos as Warchief. It felt like a huge change for the Horde to placate the Alliance.

Something something Horde bias

It is not really there. Shifting the blame of power just makes sure the Horde disappears from the neutral plot.

I take Tess growing into her own person over generic Orc NPCs who only appeared in a minor questline any day. And be thankful the ruling family of Gilneas is still in charge. Compared the Orc tribes who all lost their chieftains between Warcraft 2 and TBC that is a blessing.

Was it Horde bias when Anduin had his own Broken Shore adventure in Legion with an extra added cutscene?

Wacraft has always been the story of the Horde. The Alliance are thin layered supporting characters with no real substance.

Horde has been the framework of WoW’s story since the beginning. The devs have admitted this many, many times.

Complaints that Alliance is getting any attention at all proves this further.

The Horde is an afterthought with no purpose. The alliance is the shining hero who saves the day. See Legion.

varian is my favorite horde character.

at least vol’jin got to come back.

Buddy, you’re going to bring a lot of thunder with that kind of talk.
