So, this may be a stupid question, but how does game time work? Is it like a prepaid phone card where the time you play is subtracted from your “balance”? Or is it a certain number of days (30/60/90) regardless of how much you play? (I suppose the second is more cost-effective for the player…
)
It’s like a cable subscription. You pay for a month of game time, which ticks down regardless of how much you play. You can play as much or as little as you wish, as long as the game is online, you can play.

Note that when the game is NOT online, your time still ticks down. The occasional downtime for routine maintenance or other minor interruptions in service do not “stop the clock.” If there is significant unexpected downtime, the development team has, on occasion, granted some makeup time, but this is a fairly rare occurence.
