How do you pick a main?

I am a confirmed repeat backsliding Altaholic and have been since Wow came out. I can never pick a main, ever. I just started doing Wrath quests on 5x 70s…but this isn’t going to work, it will take me 100 years and I will give up before reaching 80. I generally solo and do pickups for dungeons but I would like to do some heroics and raids someday. I am not the swiftest on reflexes and not a great leader. My chars are mostly geared similarly in dungeon blues. All have close to max profession levels. Pick my main and save me! All are fun, so its not like I can just play what I like…

Level 70 Paladin currently Retribution with Mining/Engineering
Level 70 Death Knight currently Unholy with Mining/Engineering
Level 70 Druid currently Balance with Skinning/Leatherworking
Level 70 Shaman currently Elemental with Mining/Engineering
Level 70 Warlock currently Demonology with Tailoring/Engineering

If you don’t have quick reflexes then I’d recommend sticking to either the Ele Sham or Warlock.

Ele sham - easy rotation, just remember to use your totems.
Warlock - just mash your face on the keyboard and soulstone your healer.

I use 1 standard for and 1 standard for all else…

Standard 1:
I ROTFLMAO when I play balance druid. Starfire > Moonfire > Insect Swarm > /dance

That build is fun. Plain and simple. Add in druid utility and it’s an easy choice.

Standard 2:
Heal > DPS > ??? > tank
Whatever my close group of friends need. I have an alt ready to go. If that alt needs to be my main. Deal. We go.

Fine your standard. What is your motivation for the game. If it’s just leveling alts. Get them all to that happy base and log.

Elemental shaman or balance druid. You won’t be as common as the masses of paladin and DKs. Both specs (shaman more so) are very easy and ranged. Also both can off spec heal which will be very needed this xpac. You’re welcome! Have fun and stick to ONE toon until 80.

I was thinking the same thing. There are so many palys and dks around. There are very few mail wearing (Shaman) or leather (Druid) that I have seen in the starting area. I dont think I have seen another Shaman recently as a matter of fact…but a couple Moonkins for sure. I really need to pick 1 and max it out. And then I can play my alts later when they are actual alts instead of parallel mains

I think Elemental shaman with Resto offspec could be the ticket!
