For a long time I remember the mission tables being the main way to make money for a lot of people, but now that it’s no longer a thing, how do you do it?

I personally don’t. I just play the game and do the content I want to do and whatever gold I get mostly just sits there unless I have something specific I need to buy for whatever reason. I don’t make gold for the sake of making gold though.

Sometimes i sell the occasional rare pet or something, i also do a lot of enchanting crafting orders for crests, between the tips and the proc’s of materials i get to keep, it’s pretty good gold. A couple of days ago i got a 5k tip for making a crest, then i materials proc gave me a free Dracothyst that later sold for 4k, pretty nice for afking at a workbench!

Weekly quests on all my characters, gold world quests, quest chains and of course selling tokens because people are always buying them.

I never understood how to make gold either, yet now each character I have gotten to 70 had over 10k jsut from doing quests and WQs
And even after 70, I’ve gotten over 20k on several from nearly broke just by doing the new Emerald Dream stuff, and again, WQs.
Already have like over 40k across a couple of them without serious play, and that was after spending an accumulative 60k on things, like a little less than 2 weeks ago.
Now to just save up for a 120k transmog mount.

From what I’ve heard, the only way to make gold is to slam two neutron stars into each other. If they are not large enough to create a black hole the collision will create gold and other heavy metals.

i used to make good gold on the auction house. not any more! now i buy a token if i need gold. i have more money than time these days and i’d rather just spend some money and make sure my time in game is spent doing things i enjoy doing.

I am broke, I don’t make gold. I skate by, living on the razors edge.
This was going to be my reply as well. I never really worry about gold. I just do stuff and it shows up in my bag. The last time I really worried about gold was when I went for my Grand Expedition Yak a few years ago.
One exception. I noticed recently the gold supply in our guild bank was getting a little low. I sort of treat that as a savings account. So I just liquidated a bunch of old stuff in there that we weren’t using for anything and that surprisingly shot that number back up.

I go and work 4 hours overtime and can buy 8 tokens (2M or more gold.) I probably do that about once a year.
I know I could make quite a bit by selling runs but I’ve always felt that runs counter to the idea of making friends and helping each other out in an MMO.

Raw farm mobs and sell all the junk, as a tank. It’s mindless and I don’t need to open any dialogue windows, windows, UIs windows, download addons, etc.
Sell that mat you get from Exotic Bait, but I don’t engage with it that much because it’s lame and gated and dumb.
