It's difficult to gauge such things without body language or tone, figured I'd respond to both cases, to be on the safe side.
cheers, just very very clear that Current raids are far far more involved than classic raids were.
"...Send me a PRIVATE MASSAGE for any additional information."
can i has a private massage too??
I just want them to fix bosses in dungeon HP. They dont have any good actions at all they are just punching bags for 2-3 mins as a fight and it gets boring just sitting there. They can leave the xp as it is just modify boss HP in dungeons cause it gets boring.
...
You mean unlike the "Waah, I have to listen to the complaints in those threads because I don't have the self-control not to open them, and besides, vanilla, and besides, I haven't leveled a toon in more than a decade and I'm not going to so screw all those new players!" crowd?
My 5 year old can do a dungeon. Yes, even after the changes. She died because she stood in boss mechanic. She said "oh. I shouldn't stand in that" and next time, she didn't.
If a 5 year old can learn this, why can't these people?
I know you meant in general but speaking for myself, my guildies and i made new toons to test out the content. We had 0 difficulty. Olli difference was classes that were useless before because everything died before you got a cast off, are fun again.
They are not fun to heal.
Here is how it works.
Tank pulls a trash pack.
I spam flash of light as fast as possible to keep the Tank from dying before enough mobs die so that my heals can actually keep the Tank's HP where it is or bring it back up.
The problem is heals at this level, heal people for a smaller percentage of their total HP than they do for my similarly geared 110 healer that has 0 raid gear.
And, the mobs in lower level dungeons hit Tanks for a larger percentage of their HP than mobs in level 110 dungeons do.
It's still a scaling issue.
Mechanics are a thing,
you should look into them.
MoP had (let me do this like you did) HAD to make full use of your CC ability. If you didn't, you had a strong chance to wipe.
The Boss fights are easier to heal than the trash packs.
The amount of crying over "difficulty" in dungeons made me laugh at first. Now it's starting to get sad. Are there really this many people who have no idea how to play this game?
"Waaaaaaa i can't stand in the fire and 1 shot a boss anymore waaaaaaa"
How did we get to this? Hopefully this crowd will soon give up and leave.
I wonder how having a tank die in 1.5 seconds due to damage means the druid had "no idea how to play this game?"
I have almost given up healing in lower level dungeons right now because (and damn the DPS - I have almost no time for them) the tank is getting stomped into the ground. And fast. When I have a heal that hits for 267 and the tank just took a 700 hit, I'm spamming like mad. And my HOTs (on my druid and priest) don't touch the deficit.
This is a problem. How do I know? A 46 minute estimated queue for a healer tells me so.
I personally enjoy it. I feel like we actually have to use our ccs and so forth in order to live, so many spells/abilities that I almost never had to use before are now actually wanted and needed. Sure it takes longer, but as someone who came into the game Late Cata, I really enjoy the harder levelling. I get to actually quest in zones now and see the lore, when before I spammed dungeons.
Even as a healer, I enjoy it. I get to actually flex my healing muscles in dungeons now. Sure, there are times when the trash kill tank quite a few times (that one WotL dungeon that you GET as the first one That unlocks, I'm looking at you!) but otherwise, I'm not just sitting around on my healer, bored out of my mind.
I have not tried lower level dungeons since the patch. But I think everyone is going about this the incorrect way.
How about instead of demeaning those who are having a tough time, help them? I know it's a bit of an out of the box kind of idea but it may work... and it may get some players taught mechanics.
1. Since in the description there are two, can one be CCed (crowd controlled)? For example, a shaman can hex one, a hunter can trap one, etc. Then, instead of fighting two, you are fighting one. That's half the damage coming in.
2. You may have to get the tank to move the creature away from the other one far enough that AoE (area of effect) damage does not 'wake up' or free the creature that is trapped. Especially since many abilities now have AoE baked into them.
3. This part is extremely difficult. Try to make sure the other dps know not to attack or do damage to the creature that is trapped. The group should be focused on the one creature that is free and doing damage to the tank. Try to make sure the melee dps are behind the creature since blocks, parries, dodges and ripostes are a real thing in WoW.
4. Creatures do sometimes have special abilities. These abilities can be countered most of the time. A spell can be interrupted. Most classes have an interrupt. If needed the group can work out a rotation for who interrupts the first spell cast and who interrupts the second, and so on.
Other abilities may be able to be dodged. A weapon cleave or ground strike that happens only in front of the creature can be moved away from. If the creature creates an area on the ground that causes damage can be moved out of and is usually warned about beforehand.
These were just a few tips that can help immensely. With the last few expansions and their dungeons, these tips could have been lost in the shuffle.
A couple other tips:
After entering the dungeon/raid/group, I right-click the tank's portrait and select the focus option. I have also created a macro that targets the target of my focus. This way, when I hit the macro, my target becomes the same target the tank is attacking. This means I don't attack what the tank isn't attacking.
In options I have turned off auto-attack when changing targets. This way when I change targets for whatever reason, I stop attacking and will not accidentally pull something because of auto-attack. Now, when the target changes exactly before I hit an ability the new target is in range for... can still happen. I just have to be careful.
Obviously, these are not good tips when doing a fast dungeon run. It'll take too long to switch targets and you don't always want to attack the tanks target, but in difficult dungeon crawls, these tips work great.
I am Glad that this Incident has been fixed.
TO ALL THE WORLD OF WARCRAFT PERSONNEL! Thanks for your service!

I wonder if the OP knows what "sockpuppeting" is.
Alright, who resurrected this groaning, shambling thread?
