No, I’m just trying to alleviate some worry.
What am I worried about?
I’m only mad. Mad that Blizzard stands on the shoulders of giants and pi* on their head
Pardon?
I wasted a month of my time because Blizzard can’t write a tooltip.
I’m mad. I dont need a mf Vulpera to tell me the transgressions against me don’t matter
Azeroth.
They enchants all work as they say they do, though?
Crafted Items do not.
Which means I would never think that enchants/gems do.
That would be crazy
Regardless of quality the PvP item level remains 424.
Not PVP items, im talking about the other crafted gear.
Nothing has a PvP specific tooltip except for PvP gear.
So you SHOULD NOT ASSUME that enchants/gems are any different.
Since enchants/gems have no PvP tooltip (like pvp gear) you should assume they have no pvp effect
PVP GEAR IS THE EXCEPTION TO THE RULE
^^^ I think this clears it up
So it behaves normally.
As do these as they aren’t stated to scale up in pvp.
EXCEPT the pve crafted gear (and the vast majority of items)
which means you have to already know what works and doesnt
They behave as they’re stated to.
Not PvE crafted items in rated PvP
They retain their normal item level without being increased to the Conquest PvP ilev of 424 as there’s no mention of this on them.
Their set bonuses are disabled. Which is why there’s a secret PvP list of does work/doesnt work and what set me on this horrifying journey in the first place
Which set bonus?
any *piece bonus of an item. the snowball LW crafted gloves that throw a snowball for example.
The point is that the things that dont work in PvP don’t say that they dont work there.
Because everything written on tooltips and in the game is made for PVE only, they have to disable stuff that’s too much in PvP. Which creates a special hidden PvP list
I have this feeling youre going to disappear when my points proven
These are fairly weak, and that’s not even taking into account lack of pvp ilev sclaing.
Were you really building around them?
I haven’t actually heard of anybody looking at these, let alone considering using them.
No, please understand the larger point.
The tooltips are telling you something. The tooltips only work for PvE.
If a tooltip works for PvP, it will tell you, like the PvP gear.
So you have to assume all tooltips, unless otherwise stated, only work in PvE.
You have to magically know that enchants/gems are the only item in the game to not have PvP tooltips.
So when you look at enchants/gems, see no PvP tooltip, you SHOULD assume they do not work in pvp, however this is wrong.
To put it simply, dont waste your time on gems and enchants, they make such little difference in pvp to where its just a waste of gold.
This entire thing is just a peculiar use of attention and resources.
