Note that i use the keyboard with the right hand on WASD, mouse on the left hand (so no fancy 12 buttons mouse for me, they’re all designed for the right hand and if i try to use it my hand hurts after a while):
1-9 :
Are for things i use with some kind of frequency, the closer to 1, the more frequent the skill is, 3 is always a stun.
F: Heart Strike
G: Marrowrend
R: Blood Boil
V: Trinket or something else
Shift +:
W (usually a skill that lets me close in on something, on my DK its death claw)
A (changes as i need, on pvp its the dk silence, on dungeons it might be a lock stone)
S : (Azerite essence, or something else if i got a passive)
D: (speed buffs or leap in general)
Q: (Death and Decay on my feet, macro)
E : (Death and Decay)
F: (Death Strike)
G: (Interrupt)
V: (Trinket or something else)
R: (Whatever i need from this spot, usually some talent based aoe)
I dont use action bars though. I have an add on called BindPad. Has spec specific keybinds where action bars aren’t needed.
Cuts down on actionbars taking up space. I try to stay at 1 total if i can help it.

Usually I keep things bound from 1 through =, but I use an MMO mouse, so while I have my left hand on 1-6, 7-= is done with my right thumb. I have it set up so I can hit my holy power spenders with my pinky for AOE and index finger for single target.
1- Divine Storm
2- Judgement
3- Blade of Justice
4- Templar’s Verdict
5-Crusader Strike
6 - Other (Depends on what I spec into)
Ret’s rotation doesn’t really have you hitting much outside of your standard rotation, so the rest of my bar is Wake, Hammer of Justice, Rebuke, and my utilities I have set up as mouse-over macros with modifiers in the event a heal or blessing needs to go out fast.

It varies by character, but that’s my pretty basic setup.
And yes.
I do have four bars exclusively for clicking on toys, and consumables + fun stuff.
Seems like a pretty cool addon. I’m using it now , maybe I can learn how to use keybinds more and not click so much.
1 through =
Click the stuff on that top bar above the base one
all the buttons 1- whatever and F1 - whatever all mapped to fighting abilities. IF it doesn’t help me kill people i mouse click it
the most important buttons on 1-6 so i can hit them with left hand, and F1 interupt, all my 1-6 and F1-F5 are my rotation or important moves
Razor Naga but since this is wow: 1-3.
1 - trinket
2, 3 - most used rotational abilities.
4 - kick
5, 6 - CD’s
R - Active Essence
T, C, V - other CD’s / less often hit abilities
F1-F4 - CD’s that’re defensive oriented on healers, or consumables
F5-F6 - buttons hit rarely
` - Typically an on use trinket, or a spammable CC
Numpad 1 - Racial
Numpad 2, 5, 8 - other most often used rotational abilities
Numpad 3 - defensive CD’s
Numpad 6 - target reticle based abilities (Blizzard, PW:Barrier, etc.)
Numpad 7 - A stun of the class has one.
Numpad 9 - Dispel if the class has one
Numpad 10, 11, and 12 - cooldown based abilities
M4 - Offensive purge (also situational).
M5 - Mostly situational. On priest, it’s MD.
Everything is on a straight keybind…no shift/ctrl/alt. Just takes extra thinking I dont want to have to think about.
I have Bartender4 laid out similar to my keyboard on the lower screen so its very easy to see where all the keybinds are.
F1 F2 F3 F4 - heal, bandage, food, potion
2345 - secondary offensive
6 - forward movement ( anything that makes me move faster)
WERT - primary rotation
Q and Y for things that might be good enough for primary abilities but I dont use as much.
SDFG - defensive
ZXCV - various
Everything else is outlying that core.
The more useful it is, the closer it’ll be to that core set of keybinds
Mouse thumb front…target enemy
Mouse thumb rear…move backwards.
Mouse wheel click…auto run

F1-F9 + Shift F1-F9 are all bound to my 12 botton Red Dragon mouse.
It’s a good setup that works for my hands and keyboard.
Oh, did I not live up to your standards? I’ll just quit and uninstall, now. ![:frowning: :frowning:](https://d38bqls1q93fod.cloudfront.net/en/wow/images/emoji/twitter/frowning.png?v=9)
probably not just mine but most’s. id say average if not below. good is definitely an overestimation
I’m just so sorry, Mr. Elitist. How could I “git gud” to your standards? Teach me, daddy!!
Long story short 1, 2 & 3 are the only numbers I use. The rest are on Q,E,R,T,Z,F, S(I don’t walk backwards & I strafe walk) & 6 mouse binds.
i mean being better than you (no offense) wouldnt make anyone an elitist, i think u r still overestimating urself. it rly doesnt need that much of an effort, rly.
OK i can do a 12 one with ease. How you do a thirty one? Right now using a 8 foot key one and it helps a lot.
You mean? Do you mean it even if you didn’t say it? Big words considering you are only 28 ilvl above me, and only did a few more raids. LOL keep yourself on that pedestal, kiddo.
I love the game and am having fun, so your “ur nawt dat gud” attitude won’t take that away. I took a year off the game, so know that I could be far past your high position.
So what? Only if you’re insecure about your own lousy gameplay, would you have to try and belittle someone else. haha So yeah…whatevs.

ive tried strafing, but with tab targeting it never seems to make as much sense as it does in ESO with the crosshair targeting.
I try it for a day or two and always end up going back to just using the button to move backward instead.
I see a lot of players strafing though.

getting pretty defensive there. and 28ilvl is pretty big. maybe u not realizing how much of a gap this is why u overestimate urself. and please dont put words in my mouth. it honestly isnt rly ‘big words’ and im not sure how my toon affects yours?
