How do you dispute a removed post?

I recently had a post removed for trolling, but I wasn’t. I made my feelings on a subject known, and I suggested what I felt was an easily implementable workable solution. It wasn’t low effort or intend to be ragebait.

The system told me to review the forum code of conduct, so I did and I looked for the section “Don’t hurt the alliances feelings” rule and I have to admit I wasn’t able to find it.

With that in mind, what exactly constitutes trolling? Are we not allowed to have an issue with the game and offer suggestions? Honestly confused here. Thanks for any assistance with this.

If you wish to appeal a moderation decision you’ll want to put in a ticket under “Can’t Post on Forums”. It is primarily used for appealing a Forum suspension but can also be used for that.

Trolling generally falls under the following:

  • Creating threads for the sole purpose of causing unrest on the forums
  • Causing disturbances in forum threads, such as picking fights, making off topic posts that ruin the thread, insulting other posters
  • Making non-constructive posts

While feedback about the game is welcome, the way it is framed, including the use of charged terms, antagonistic language, etc… is important. Using phrasing intended to provoke falls under disruptive behavior (e.g. Trolling).

For example, the language you used in your post here - “so I did and I looked for the section “Don’t hurt the alliances feelings” rule and I have to admit I wasn’t able to find it.” is antagonistic. You appear more to be picking a fight than providing constructive feedback.

I hope that helps.

Apologies, I wasn’t intending to be antagonistic, I only say that here because it’s what I feel like why my post was reported.

I didn’t create the thread for the sole purpose of causing unrest, I didn’t pick fights with anyone, I didn’t derail the thread as it was my thread and my post, nor was my post non-constructive.

I stated what I had a problem with and I offered a solution that could be implemented in as a long term fix with no negative repercussions to anyone.

Where exactly is the trolling? There was none. So what rule did I violate and how was it justified to take down my post and put a negative mark on my account?

But, anyway, I’ll try that ticket option. Thanks for always being helpful, its appreciated.

While the sole purpose of your post may not have been to troll, something that seems a little suspect given the manner in which you posted, we will have to disagree that your post wasn’t picking a fight or wasn’t non-contructive.

From the accusations of Alliance favoritism, a tired trope that is equally used by the other side to say the same thing about the Horde, to using the term ghetto in the manner that you did. While there isn’t anything inherently wrong with the term itself, you quoted a definition, unasked for, and then put “don’t even @ me”… none of which is constructive.

You did, and if you would have left out the parts that I mentioned the thread post would likely have remained up and could have been a productive discussion.

There is no negative mark on the account. You weren’t suspended or otherwise sanctioned, the post was deleted.

Good luck.

Since discussion of moderation is best suited for the appropriate points of contact I’m going to lock this one up.
