I have been trying for DAYS on end to restored AH expired mails. The navigation on that page is SUPREMELY buggy. Trying to get from page to page is a crap shoot. Finally after an hour of trying to do this i got 80/120 expired mails checked off and i figured wth i will just restore these and come back in 2 weeks and do the rest. so when i hit the button to restore them i got a small blank pop up. it was blank except for a blue button. i waited 15 minutes to see if it would actually show up. no dice. so i hit the blue button. nothing. SOOO i decided i would try to just enter a ticket about how wonky that restore mail module is and i keep getting this like circular progression. choose game… choose issue… describe issue … the i have no choice but to choose one of 4 things which returns me BACK to where i started this process. i cannot even start a dang ticket nowadays. i feel like my head will explode.

That should get you in the direction you need to go.
i have been there for HOURS trust me i have been playing wow for 13 years. It is NOT my first rodeo. However, it truly has become a maze that is designed to make you fail imo. I just want to open a dang ticket. it is not rocket science.
How long ago was the mail lost before you tried to get them and how long ago has it been now?
That’s how you open a ticket did you click the link? At the bottom it states “contact us” did you click that?
Please avoid using inappropriate language, Stormeey. I removed it this time but if it was reported and a moderator got to it first, you would have had your posting privileges suspended.
You are likely attempting to use the mail return self-help option, which I don’t believe can help with expired Auction House mail. AH mail tends to be purged from the system when they expire. In rare instances, a Game Master may be able to recover those, but that is not guaranteed.
Since this is not a standard request that our staff can help with we do not have a specific category for it. To open a ticket you’d click on Contact Support > World of Warcraft > select the option to categorize the issue then “In-Game Issues” > Items and Mail > Not Listed here.
Make sure to list the character name/realm that is trying to recover the mail and let them know that the items are not available with the self-help option.
Selecting recover sent, deleted or expired mail will give you the self-help option, which does not usually work for expired Auction House mail.
the mails are available to be restored. they show up on that characters “restore expired mail” page. but when i hit restore them i get a blank pop up that i have no idea what it says. it had a blue button but no words in that pop up box. i waited to see if it would load … and keep in mind i have gone through this process 2-3x a day for the last 4 days. Since i cannot read what that pop up says… i have no idea how to continue. THEN i got into the rat maze of opening ticket. choose game… choose topic… describe issue… then next choice is … one of 4 things… take a guess… choose topic… technical issues… in game issues… account issues … etc… so if i then choose one of those topics (in game issue) i then return to exactly where i started the ticket at…
I see. Then you’d want to include that information in the ticket you submit through the option I listed.
when i use that module it shows me the expired mail as eligible for restoration. i (after navigating a very buggy page) am able to check them off. then i hit restore. the blank little pop up window shows up so i have no idea what THAT is saying.
your link actually DID finally allow me to submit a ticket. I could never get to that stage for the last few hours. i do thank you. And by the way in the title i didn’t actually use a curse word i “inferred” it perhaps? by using the symbols… I am sorry if that was not appropriate. It will not be repeated. Thank you again for the help. I am not a noob at ticket submissions but i just could NOT get past this circular thing i kept getting sent back to my starting point over and over. Ticket is submitted
Our policies restrict the use of inappropriate language, both clear and masked. The placement of the symbols in context would stand for a fairly inappropriate word so it is best not to use it. I get the frustration, but I’d rather folks be able to keep posting.
gotcha. message received loud and clear. I will steer clear of that in future. again ty for your hellp.
so basically just list it under purchases and put it as problem not listed here and theyll actually pay attention to it since they only care when theres money involved. worked for me i had the same problem kept looping me until i filed under purchases. idk why only some ppl have this problem
Thats horrible advice and people complain why some tickets are higher then other because people are mislabling tickets.Yes blizzard wants money but purchase tickets are more complicated.
Patently untrue. Right now, ticket times are a bit off the chain but under normal circumstances, ticket turnaround is about a day. And if it’s looping you around in circles, that generally means that it’s not something a GM can do for you. If you’d like to create your own thread rather than necroing one that is over a year dead - again…Death Knights - we can try and help you. But if you put in a ticket under billing for a bug or something else that cannot be resolved by a GM? They will send you a templated letter with links and close out your ticket. So. Shoving a ticket through as purchase issue won’t work well for you, depending on what your real issue is.
Trying to create a ticket is next to impossible. I’ve read all the posts, tried the link listed below, and I STILL just go in circles and NEVER get a “submit” button. I’ve been trying for over 1.5 hours.
Generally, if you are getting the runaround and not finding a way to open a ticket for your issue, then it isn’t something that the GM staff can assist with.
Also, if a thread is more than a few weeks old, it is best to start a ne one. This one died 2 years ago.
Yes it got me further than I could before, however, I still spent 1.5 hours going in circles and never did get a submit button.
How would they know if I can’t even submit my problem??
By asking the questions that are asked during the process of attempting to open the ticket. What exactly is your issue? Maybe I can help direct you.
